Sir i have a question: 1) In Arm and forearm , the anterior compartment comes on the palmer side and posterior on dorsal side right and so anterior compartment do flexion and posterior compartment do extension,(of both arm and forearm) 2) Now in case of thigh ,the anterior compartment do extension and and posterior compartment do flexion right,BUT now in LEG both the anterior compartment and posterior compartment do flexion, so what does the extension of the leg then ? Im kind of confused in the anterior and posterior compartment of leg and its functions

This is due to rotation of the limb during development

Sir, popliteus muscle unlocks knee joint by lateral (external) rotation right?

No @ Locking is by lateral rotation of the leg by the biceps femoris muscle. @ Unlocking is by medial rotation of the leg by the popliteus muscle.
