🙏Whenever there is a problem with TMJ or mouth opening, chewing food, you would like to tell you from experience that while eating food, keep equal amount of food on both sides of the tooth inside the mouth and chew it slowly or eat soft food, hard things like Do not use copra, gram, brackish etc., exercise the mouth daily before going to sleep at night and after waking up in the morning and keep taking protein and calcium in the diet and be happy.🙂

Video was great, no doubt but there was a small mistake Each temporomandibular joint is classed as a *"ginglymoarthrodial"* joint since it is both a ginglymus (hinging joint) and an arthrodial (sliding) joint. The condyle of the mandible articulates with the temporal bone in the mandibular fossa. You said its *ginglymodiarthrodial*???

I guess tmj is complex joint because it has two articulating surfaces.. But you said it as compound???

Correction: This is a COMPLEX joint (has an intra articular disc) and not a compound joint (more than 2 bones). other than that great vid!
@DrTeethAcademy
@DrTeethAcademy 6 жыл бұрын
Hi, though by definition compount joint has more than 2 bones yet TMJ is classified as a compound joint the reason being the articular disk in between that functionally serves as a non ossified bone.

Nice...but I think synovial joint's articular surfaces are covered by hyaline cartilage...but here you say fossa is covered by febrocartilage ..or the fossa is called mandibular fossa or articular fossa as I read but you say glenoid fossa..why
@obikenobi9851
@obikenobi9851 5 жыл бұрын
the tmj is an atypical synovial joint meaning its covered by fibrocarilage , the glenoid fossa is the whole fossa which she showed then the mandibular fossa is where the head ofthe mandible attaches to bro
