my parents were born in myanmar and as someone with burmese blood im stoked to see someone like aung come out of MM to become world champion in a mma organization like oneFC! i dont see him mentioning anything about the military coup here...but i do see it on his IG, now I do agree that the coup is completely wrong and fucked up, but the military has always had a dominant presence even with aung san suu kyi as their leader. I see aung la nsang defending aung san suu kyi but also fails to mention how she was trying to help the military cover up the mass genocide that the military is trying to attempt on the rohingya muslims. she is just another military puppet in the end of the day, and now that they have obtained enough power to cut her out, they locked her up. It's completely fucked up that the military just imprisoned her like that and took over the country, but to act like shes a good person who doesn't do evil things also would be ignorant. its a messed up situation in myanmar, the military is obviously evil, and shes not much better because she was consenting and covering up their actions so theres no situation that looks good the burmese people or the rohingya muslims
