@@albertosaldivar2934 I wouldn´t even care at this point.... 4:3 aspect ratio, between 4" and 5" screen size, flawless PS2 & GameCube Emulation, HDMI out, good buttons and controls and support of 1TB Micro SD Cards. I would pay relatively big money for that, although I know that I could get bigger and more capable emulation handhelds. But I finally need an emulation handheld which combines all the stuff that basically every retro gamer wants and needs. But if you put a perfect device on the shelfes as a company, it would mean, that you risk that nobody could need further revisions or products.

I still can't even believe that you guys thought releasing this device on a weaker chipset than the 405m was a good idea. You literally added everything everybody could want in the buttons, gave a good enough screen that's big enough to balance pocket ability and size, But then you slap in a week ass processor that could barely handle PSP. These monkey paw devices are getting exhausting and are straight up he waste at this point

It makes sense actually. It’s not a 405m replacement. Hence the price will be way below 405m. It’s a 4:3 screen so it’s not designed for psp. I think this is a great idea for ppl who just want a cheap device to play old snes,ps1 and n64 games. The 4inch screen is great for that.

Why 4:3? For android devices that skew towards wider content, and have their native android games adapt to any aspect ratio, a 3:2 screen is the best option in my opinion. You can enjoy all your content with minimal black bars without being too narrow or too wide

Dear Anbernic, despite what the reviewers say, we do not like loud buttons. Silent & soft rubber membrane is perfect for everybody. Also Start and Select must be above D-Pad and ABXY buttons.

I think I understand Anbernic's logic... this "xx" line is lower cost, so click buttons, just changed the pattern, which were the shoulder squares. They should only use analog triggers on the most expensive ones, which run PS2...

Very nice but I would prefer if the SoC was something like the rk3566 or T610, at least 2gb of ram and 720p higher resolution (not sure if that screen exist) ... With that said... Depending on the asking price this could be a very good device for retro gaming... But could be much better.

Anbernic, would be cool to see a console with the extra buttons featured on the N64 so emulation for that system worked better than the PS2-style layout. So, two extra buttons in addition to all that is currently on these dual analogue stick devices.

You're right, this could be a decent N64 handheld. I might request going one step further since no one else has done so. Go with the cross pad and thumbstick as is but the right side, go with a larger B & A and then 4 smaller yellow face buttons along with rumble. Without dual analog sticks, It really makes the handheld a N64 system specific design but gives another use case with the H700 again.

Man back in the day on golden eye my buddy Steve would hold that n64 controller in such a weird katywampus sort of way working his left hand working both the yoy sticks and dpad and he reached his right hand finger way to the middle for the trigger while still holding palm on the far right for thumb on those buttons. He would fucking kill it to, made feel like a goon just holding my left hand on middle of the controller 😂

Everyone wants better performance... but does anyone consider a switch to 3:2 screens? They would allow you to play GBA and PSP games more comfortably, and the black bars on the sides when playing home console games wouldn't be so bad (or you could stretch those to fill the screen, and it wouldn't look too bad). But I get it, the Chinese brands are using old parts.

I don't think Trimui are a big team or have many resources. They have the capacity only to rarely produce a new product but when it is it's a pretty good one. Anbernic seem to have the ability to produce products at 20x the rate. When you do I guess you are more likely to use designs first used elsewhere

Nope. It can play PS1 with enhanced graphics. It can also run most DS and N64 games, and about half of Dreamcast and PSP library at decent speed. If you look around, you could probably find more lightweight PSP alternatives to GameCube games, but if you want to play Nintendo-developed GameCube games, well... the best option would be N64 alternatives.
