@@jnschannel2551 The Court will always take the best interests of the child, if the children wants to see either parent, there is still visitation rights, if either parent is exercising violence towards the other, it is in the best interests of the children to not see violence anymore. Hence, divorce is for the happiness of the children, not against it.

Families in the Philippines were already destroyed due to spouses separating, regardless of no divorce law in the country, marami pa ring hiwalay, illegal nga lang dahil ayaw sang-ayunan ng batas, pero yun kawalan ng batas sa divorce, hindi rin nakatulong to keep the family together. Kaya maglagay na lang ng divorce, para magkaroon naman ng chance yung iilan na nagkamali. Lumalabas ang option ng anullment, pang-mayaman lang. So, kung mahirap ka, wala kang karapatan maghiwalay.

Then change manifestation to predisposition in the grounds for annulment. This is much better than changing the nature of marriage itself. A irate partner has a predisposition for violence, a promiscuous partner for adultery, a gender affirming partner for transgenderism. What value system? Is it Christian value system? Muslim value system? Under the 1987 Constitution, the government is prohibited from favoring one religion over another, the government cannot prioritize Christian value system over secular value system, or other religion's value system. Legalizing divorce does not mean the destruction of Christianity in the Philippines, people must have decisional freedom to do what they want as long as there are legal grounds to do so, such as violence of one spouse over the other.

Such hypocrisy. Spain, Italy and Poland are all Catholic countries... and they have divorce. Pilipinas na lang wala sa buong mundo. Make it available. Make it a viable choice for couples na gusto mag divorce. Choice na nila if they want it or not. And make it affordable as well. In the US there is divorce but because of alimony and hefty cost madami pa din ang ayaw magdivorce but at least it is there as an option. Yes to divorce... and an affordable no red tape divorce. There should be automatic divorce for those abusive spouses. And then for those na ang reason is they are no longer happy nagkasawaan na grant one year separation first and then after a year na wala na talaga pag-asa na isave yung marriage saka sila maqualify mag apply for divorce and processing should be 6 months to max one year to give them another time to reconsider until an absolute divorce is granted. Anyways, they can just get married again hahhhaa in case after divorce e narealize nila mahal pala talaga nila isa't isa may toyo lang silang dalawa. And kung Church ang issue madaming kasal sa huwes lang bakit pati sila idadamay? Di sila nagcommit sa altar dun sa 'ang pinagbuklod ng dyos ay di na maaring paghiwalayin ng sinuman' blah blah...
