Hold on let's not get too ahead of ourselves here. To say defeat is an overstatement. This is not what is happening. Just means China isn't interested with the current shenanigans. The Philippines and the US are trying to call China's bluff, but China is not responding, and not responding does not equate to backing off. Either way, I'm sure the US and China have back channel communication to minimize miscalculation and misunderstandings that might lead to further escalation

The radio challenge script does not follow the PN's mandate of securing and protecting Philippine EEZs for the food security of Filipinos. The Philippine Navy is a NAVY; not a Philippine Reporter to Authorities. The 1987 Philippine Constitution expressly states that the ARMED Forces of the Philippines is the protector of the people and the State; NOT a reporter to higher authorities. The Indonesian Navy radio challenge script is more fitting for a NAVY. It goes like this: "China ship #xyz. You are inside Indonesia's Exclusive Economic Zone. Please leave immediately." No response. Warning shots. The videos of the Indonesian radio challenge and firing of warning shots are readily available on KZbin for everyone to watch.

This is what Philippines would do, to have Chinese navy kept at bay and beyond the the horizon...you can see that they dont do illegal maneuver like they did some month ago in resupply mission, there is no water cannons...it means they just do psywar to a small philippine fleet, it encourages interoperability bet our equipments or assets in our allies, lets fastract the acquisitions of our MRF and subs as well as missiles and also developments of our own rockets and missiles so that when our supplier back out we will still have assets to functions for our defense.

Why not include the civilian sector, particularly the fishermen, merchant ship and other maritime plying Filipino vessels, as part of our sources data gathering in monitoring our maritime boundaries or EEZ! These sectors can provide infos with proper communications system! Jut like when Gen. Douglas MacArthur did with the Filipino guerrillas in the entire archipelago! He utilized these guerrillas to provide the US intelligence with the up-to-date movements of the Japanese navy during WWII! If our RADAR or satellites can't detect the chinese ship going "Dark"! They go 'dark' and they're known as "dark vessels" where their AIS (Automatic Identification System) are turned off to avoid detection! That's why our navies, PCG are just shocked with the sudden presence of clumped chinese vessels!
