Telling it ours is ok. Pero bawiin pahirapan. Kung matagal ng updated ang AFP nun 1990s lalo ang Navy, no aggressor will steal our islets island sa EEZ. Kung jeep nga, nun 1990s pa dapat implemented ang modernization. Til now ay ayaw ng mga communist politico at ayaw din sa ROTC... nothing will happen. We need modern arms sa AFP. Puro laway lang ang laws. Implement ang kailangan. Yun nga sign, bawal magtapon ng basura, which is an ordinance or say local law ng isang town, hindi sinusunod. Dapat may ipin ang batas. Lagyan ng ipin ang batas. Lagyan ng mga barko ang AFP with missiles. Dekada nawala sa atin sa modernization ng AFP. Sayang laway sa debate on laws. Put armaments on our ships. Check Greece vs Turkey pano sila nagtatalo sa EEZ nila. Di laway kungdi dogfights ng mga jets nila.

go back to the first issue on why did China established a based over these islands, this is because of their self proclaimed territorial Sovereignty the 9 or 10 dash-line SCS demarcation and they are not recognizing the Arbitral ruling because it was based on UNCLOS. This was also the reason that China never appeared on the hearings and Arbitral Award in Hague, Netherlands. The 200 NM EEZ territorial jurisdiction is explicitly provided in the UNCLOS signed policy agreements. This local law was just to emphasized/reiterate the territorial demarcation lines which is not only redundant but also it must be aligned with UNCLOS policies. This may lead to inconsistencies and conflicting issues that may arise to confusion, so that is why this law must be recognized internationally to be legal and binding. The Global issue here is whether or not to Internationally/Globally recognized China's territorial Sovereignty claims to be legal and binding. In the absence of this resolution, China will never respect nor honor UNCLOS and the Arbitral Ruling.

This situation is quite absurd. Under international law, specifically the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), the Philippines lacks the legal basis to enact the two new laws in question. The Philippines submitted an application for an Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) in the South China Sea; however, this application was rejected by the United Nations, resulting in the absence of any recognized EEZ for the Philippines in that region. Consequently, the Philippines has enacted two laws that are not only unlawful but also stem from unfounded assumptions, contradicting the UN's official stance of not recognizing any Philippine EEZ in the South China Sea. It is a shame for the Philippines government to state the new laws are based on UNCLOS where the UNCLOS never recognized Philippines have a legal EEZ in the South China Sea.
