Nine dead after car crashes into pedestrians near Seoul city hall | ANC

A car hit several pedestrians in central Seoul, killing nine people and injuring at least four, South Korean media reports said, citing police and fire officials on Monday (July 1). At the scene police tape cordoned off the wreckage and a witness to the accident said he initially thought the loud noise was a car driving into a guardrail, only to realise a short time after that pedestrians had been hit. The car was driving in the wrong direction and rammed into pedestrians standing on a crosswalk, witness Park Sung-il said.
