I think most Filipinos who are not even in the US missed the whole point of this issue. Technically, anywhere in the world, if you are illegal, then yes, you are a candidate for deportation. The problem is the enforcement of this aggressive deportation using ICE. Reports are going around that you are deported or arrested by ICE as soon as they have any assumption you are an illegal, which is sometimes just the mere hint of how you look, how you speak, and just simply by speaking any language other than English: you get tagged as an illegal. The worst part of this is, you may get falsely accused of doing a crime (and can be a crime by simply illegally staying) and it would not be farfetched that you get accidentally grouped with people who are thrown to Guantanamo Bay, which is bordering a violation of their own US Constitution. There's also a proposition of removing birthright citizenship, which means even if you were born in the US, you can be tagged as an illegal.

Para samga undocumented na Pinoys dito sa America, kung ready kayo na mahuli or kaya niyong mag stay na may agam-agam na takot, mag stay kayo. Kc hinuhuli ngayon ay may mga criminal records. Pag wala at matagal na, ginagawa parin nila ang catch and release. Pero kung tingin nyo hindi naman na worth na mag stay or may balak kayong manirahan dito, seek legal option. Kung walang pag asa, better go back to Philippines and start over sa pag reapply. Although within Trump administration, sa loob ng 4 years medyo mahirapan kayo.

Yes, the GC holder can be deported, the same applies to the legally naturalized citizens. During Trump's 1st term, there were a handful of NC's who were charged with crimes and were denounced and deported back to the Phils. Kaya dun sa mga umeepal at tutol sa deportation, tumahimik kayo! Unless, you have a birthright.

Anyone should be anxious when you as much as circumvent anything just to come to the US because that’s just avoiding legal process. For example, people who wants to live in the US but doesnt want to pay the fees and wait for petition. They come here in a US visa and file for extension.

If you've overstayed in the US or entered undocumented, no lawyer or visa service will be able to help you in a deportation hearing. Once the judge says goodbye, that's it. Deportation orders, can no longer be appealed, so don't let any lawyer tell you different, they just want to get more money from you. Best advice is to leave on your own, without a deportation order. Having a deportation on your record could blacklist you for 10 years, and still remains on your record the next time you try to get approved.

Most of Filipinos in US enter the US legally but the one case which i think Trump can go after is sponsorship based on marriage by claiming that the marriage was fraud. Also he can push for a change in the length that couples must remain married for the sponsored spouse to keep his/her Greencard. I think now is 2 years. He can increase to 5 or 10 yrs.

I know lots of filipino teachers who married to American citizen while their legal husband/s and children(J-2 visa Holders) were with them. They allow their wives to marry an American citizen just to extend their stay in the U.S. and for the Americans who accept this kind of a deal is an opportunity for them for the reason that they will get paid by the teacher who will marry them, they are willing to fake it until they make it.
