Actually the word is siblings can have totally different percentages passed to them. So your Brother will need to get his own test done.

actually this will ALWAYS happen, lol when the chromosomes are split each of you would have received a random combination of genes from each parent, basically this means your brother could inherit slightly different results from you. However the outcome will always vary, while also being somewhat similar.

UtubeHairCare I did t know your last name so it makes sense that you have quite a lot of Indian heritage. My family lied and always denied the African part, my grandad actually 'looks' Indian, an Indian friend of mine thought it was her own grandfather when she saw his pic for the first time. He also got mistaken for Syrian lol. I think it's because of the texture of his hair which was very very soft! I used to try and plait it to no avail! As soon as I let go of the plait it came undone! Lol but I love this! I think more Jamaican should take it! We are definitely out of many one people! Pacific Islanders let's not forget are Africans also that travelled a different direction towards the east. 😁

someone really needs to break it down to me - as far as I am aware a woman can not a full spectrum of her dna because it will just shows her mother side (mtDNA is inherited from the mother) not her father side (Y-dna) ... so I am confused about this video. Plus most european share central and south west asian dna also carried by the brahman indians ...

Fathers don't pass on the Y DNA to their daughters. They pass on their X DNA to their daughters. Men are XY. Y gets passed to boys and X gets passed to girls.

I am so suprised by the number of girls/women taking this kind of test because basically they will never get a full picture of their DNA - all they will get is their mtDNA (mother side) . the best gift you could give to yourself is actually forcing your brothers to do the test for you :)

@henri keli What are you talking about? Girls do take half of their DNA from their fathers, they just take the X chromosomes not the Y ones. Girls are XX instead of XY (that boys are). The one X is from their mother and the other X is from their father.

A woman can not get her full heritage because she will just get her mother part (not dad,brother or uncle) while man doing the DNA will get their mitochondrial (female) part and male part = full picture. There is not really a lot of negative stigma surrounding European Blood with people from the Caribbean often times it wasn't result of rape or unwanted sexual activities according according to Historic records the Irish were in the same situation maybe worse, married between Africans and Irish was common Germans migrated willfully and integrated intentionally , not to mention a small number of Russians, A significant number of Portuguese Jews, Syrians, Lebanese, Chinese, East Indians, more recent migrations japanese, more chinese, Colombians, Cubans and a number of Europeans nowadays and this is only Jamaica, but the whole Caribbean is mixed. By the way your skin color can change depended on lighting especially when you are mixed. If she wants to where straight hair that fine she is partially Indian its not unnatural for her
