I will never forget this ! I remember it like it was yesterday so happy I came across this video on a random late night KZbin search. I was 20 getting ready in the morning for work and said to myself DAMN did they really just do that on air,yes they did. But leading up to this for years you could just feel the tension between these two. Jim Ryan always made smart ass comments to Oliver on air and any chance he could get he loved humiliating and belittling him. I think old Ollie just had enough of Jim's shit that day ! That being said both are pure nostalgia for New Yorkers who grew up in the 80s-2000's. Every day before school in the mid/ late 80s throughout mid 90s my Mother would have Good Day NY on TV when I woke up and came down stairs in the morning.

So, was this "Jim Ryan" that big of an S.O.B. to just anyone, or just Ollie? What was his problem with Ollie?

For all of you asking "Why couldn't he come up with a question?", it's the reporter's job to interview the people involved. It's not his job as an anchor to come up with the questions. It's like a prosecutor asking a judge how to cross-examine somebody.
@amitypredator93852 жыл бұрын
It's also not his job as an anchor, to prod the reporter for more questions. He was being unprofessional. They both were, but he started it.
@coolcrosscross4512 жыл бұрын
So he don’t know a question , yet he thinks there is more to know? If you think there is more to know you, you have a question

The anchor made it pretty clear that he wants a simple reply from the woman. The reporter was passive aggressive at this point. I understand he doesn't want to be micromanaged but he is acting like his job is just to hold the microphone.

@@vanaik as the reporter he asked all the questions he felt needed to be asked. Jim Ryan wanted to know more, then he should have asked specifically what he wanted to know.

Cmon everyone this has to stay on tv if you’re that guy “don’t let her just leave.” “She’s back if you want her” “Yes!” Hahah this is all bc the anchor wanted to see a slip and if we consider that angle, he’s still wrong 😂 but it makes sense..? No?
