Awesome shots. Strange how it can look so different from another angle, no matter how much I'm used to downtown. I miss Anchorage, and Alaska. Maybe one day I'll move back.

The best or one of the best videos i´ve ever seen on yt, and im here since 2006. I grew up close to the mountains in central Spain and this video brought me memories and moved me. Love USA. Thanks for this video.

Does this city not have highways lol ?
@jdwp31232 жыл бұрын
the city is a lot bigger than it shows in video, we have 2 major highways
@aaronkamakaze29672 жыл бұрын
If you don't see highways cutting up a city, that means its well designed lol. They have freeways outside the city that connect downtown to the nearby towns and suburbs... Downtown anchorage is designed like a small town
@HowtoAlaska10 ай бұрын
no, both highways end when they enter the city. you have to go through city streets to get from the Glenn highway to the Seward highway. remember it’s Alaska and there are only 750000 people that live in the whole state
@TheElectedOneАй бұрын
@@HowtoAlaska Nope, if you go to Google earth and go to 5-6 avenue that is the highway, it splits when it gets inside of the city. It is about a 6 lane highway. Then the name changes to Seward highway.
@HowtoAlaskaАй бұрын
@@TheElectedOne 6th changes to the Glenn outbound and Gamble turns the Seward highway outbound. if you haven’t been through anchorage before it’s confusing for a while….you go through the city, there is no highway bypass like normal cities
