Anchored - A Documentary about my life as a musician and advocate with a disability (CMT)

I have been away for a while, working on my writing and being filmed for this documentary. A couple of months ago some university film students got in touch and said they wanted to make a documentary about my life with disability as well as my music and my recent disability advocacy. This is the result and I am super happy with it,.

Wow. This was so beautifully done. I’m so happy you brought up mental health. With the winter upon us and the pain reaching debilitating levels it’s very hard to stay positive. I had a Dr tell me at my last appointment that my pain is mind over matter and I was so hurt that she’d suggest that I could just ignore the stabbing pain in my body and it would just go away. Because I have kids I can’t really lie in bed and recover and sometimes forcing myself to function for them on a basic level is the worst for my mental health. It’s not always understood just how toxic positivity can be so terrible for someone with a chronic illness.

It runs in my family but due to lack of health insurance I cannot be tested for it. I show so many symptoms but can't do anything for it outside of homeopathic medicine. Keep kicking this disease in it's ass dude!
