It’s amazing how much 3D printing has helped with things on my farm.

this is ideal for laser cutting from 1/8 or 3/16" acrylic. much faster than 3D printing a bunch

I have a laser cutter that barely gets used any more. Acrylic is very brittle, especially with a small piece like that. But, I bet it would would work well to make them out of wood...then at the end of season you could just toss the twine and anchor in the compost!

A lot of industrial tomatoes 🍅 growers in Europe seem to prefer a trench on the ground with gravel because they grow so tall requiring them to use motorised electric platform's for maintaining the tomatoes plants 🍅 , have you thought of giving this technique a try before?

I've been happy with growing in the DWC bed so far. I only have around 40 plants this year so it's easy to manage with this setup. I would assume if they were growing in a trench, they would have to dig out the ground and also have some kind of sump for everything to drain into? My DWC acts as the sump so everything is above the ground. I guess you could say that they are in an "elevated trench" ;-)
