Work? Work is not making stuff up on how things may have been done. You geniuses want evidence it was done by aliens, as if there isn't more than enough already, but you just need a suggestion it was done by humans to accept it as fact, despite the fact humans have never been able to recreate any of it since. Thats one special level of ignorance

@Doug Gale architects in nearly every ancient culture were highly skilled, educated members of society, incredibly high on social ladders. While they would've been chastised for a mistake, the level of effort that goes into training one of their profession would heavily dissentivise any irrational executions for a bad cut. For example, it would be really stupid to trust uneducated slaves to build megastructures that are literally for honoring the most important members of society.
@douggale5962

@@Ttspzmitch1128 They were being built for deluded morons that believed that they were gods. Any time a moron thinks they are doing things directly for god, or worse, are a god themselves, everyone becomes totally expendable garbage. That construction error will prevent the space semen from getting to the other gods. Do you realize how perfectly aligned it has to be to hit a target at that range? He probably blew it right there. When the pharaoh fired, it was out of alignment by 1/10000th of a percent, and missed by 3.5 light years. That builder wrecked the whole project, and covered it up. This is the level of stupid that they would have had.

I live 45min from Teotihuacan and studied all Mexican pyramids and sites. The mathematics, acoustics and precision masonry is either the work of an ancient earthly civilization or an alien civilization. The part about the Denderra lightbulb is pretty funny. The guy on Ancient Aliens says there wasn't enough oxygen in the tomb to support the flame of a torch, for instance. He then goes on to exclaim that he experienced this himself when he tried to light his zippo in the tomb, and it didn't work. So, there wasn't enough oxygen in the tomb to feed the flame of his light, and yet he could breathe just fine. :D

The dress is actually 2 colors which only a mantis shrimp and aliens can witness. So the dress isn't blue or black. It's kinda funny. Both sides just insist that they are more right and that their sources are better. Honestly, I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. Some of the things ancient astronaut theorists say are pretty convincing. Not all of it, of course, but some of the concepts are. I feel the same. It was an interesting idea that opened my mind to different possibilities as well as the realization that a lot of mainstream archeology is crap because people either have reputations to protect or refuse to accept change or new evidence. While it's not impossible, it made me aware of a lot of historical sites and artifacts I didn't know about that definitely raise questions and have interesting possibilities that can rewrite history as we know it even without aliens. And I agree, more and more the show and History in general has just made me SMH more and more basically becoming repetitive clickbait drivel which is too bad as at least for OP and I it introduced more historical knowledge and interest along with possibilities for explanations outside of mainstream academics and archeology, aliens or otherwise. It went from This is unexplainable and Aliens is a potential explanation even if unlikely to ALIENZ BUILT EVERYTHING AND EVERYTHING IS A LIE CLICK HERE TO FIND OUT THIS ONE GREAT TRICK TO LEARN HOW THE CIA AND GOVERNMENT AND ILLUMINATI ARE LYING TO YOU. Like damn, I didn't mind Oak Island too even especially as a Canadian but it so quickly fell into predictable garbage where the last few episodes I watched had maybe 2 or 3 minutes that weren't filler or lame attempts at clickbait suspense building to make sure you will still be tuned in after the next commercial break, I mean it went from Hey that's kind of cool to omg is everything staged? I swear at least everytime metal detector guy finds anything that it's an act even if it was a legitimate find maybe off camera, plus it's super obvious that every visit to blacksmith guy is all done on the same day mostly considering everyone especially him are always wearing the same clothes and absolutely nothing has moved in his shop. No one cares about the fake drama and it literally pushed me away from it which sucks as they were starting to unearth some stuff that made you wonder why it was there and then they go off spouting so many theories including aliens that all contradict each other while not considering aka intentionally ignoring for drama previous and past facts and finds they already know..somehow I hope the brothers are doing a "SMH why did we sign a contract with History?" as the producer dictates lines for drama. Literally they should be forced to change the name of their company/channel because it's not history anymore, it's just cable clickbait that somehow has only gotten worse year over year for the last 15 years at least.

1:29:00 "Somebody turned off the lights ad I said don't worry and I got my lighter and I turned on my lighter and it didn't work, there was not enough oxygen" Seriously? Nobody in the team had a flashlight with them? They went into a room inside a pyramid where their only chance of ever getting back out in case the power failed would be a flashlight and nobody brought one? But more importantly: A flame needs an oxygen percentage of 16% or more to burn. If the lighter did not work at all then the oxygen must have been (way) below 16%. Humans on the other hand need an oxygen percentage of 19%, anything lower than that and hypoxia sets in (shortness of breath, dizzyness, talking gibberish,... death) So either the flame went out and you where on the floor slowly watching your lips turn blue, or you where fine and the lighter was fine and you're telling lies again.

This lasted since I was 12 or 13 until my early 20s, gradually fading away as I got through med school and then further professional training, the more scientific training I got the less convincing those conspiracy theories sounded.

@@Jiminy-trx I suggest you take at look at the channel World of Antiquity, he made a lot of videos which elucidate most of your questions about egypt. "Great Pyramid Number Magic" for example explains the supposed mathematical formulaes you asked about. You can measure the pyramids in a lot of ways that would match up with certain special numbers, but it doesn't mean anything unless you prove it was the builders intention to achieve it. If you're ever working with geometry, you're bound to build something that lines up with important geometrical numbers... Also, the egyptians probably knew about Pi, since they, and many other civilizations tried measuring circumferences (as it is useful whenever you build stuff), some actually came pretty close to what we measure now, but none were actually on point. As regarding question number 4, you just have to widen your perspective. Why did we, during the 15th century, built absolutely astonishing works of architecture, saw many empires and kingdoms rising and falling, developed sciences, etc. when across the Atlantic in the New World, or in Subsaharan Africa, they lived mostly as hunter gatherers? The egyptians developed their culture and technology along millenia of living right on the Nile, which supported societies that no other region could, of course the egyptians would be more advanced. They didn't spring up out of nowhere, they evolved. You can literally see failed attempts at pyramids, they tried and failed until they got it right.

"Ancient Aliens" is a show, produced to be salacious and draw in an audience. It takes founded ideas, questions, and slaps 'Aliens' all over them to be sensational. It's possibly THE worst thing for the actual research and questions as to the precision and monumental size of the oldest of the structures still left standing. But at the same time, even with as fabricated as the show is, there are core questions it asks that remain unanswered, aliens removed. Humanity is much older than previous thought, being pushed back to 11,600 years old due to Gobelki Tepi alone. That alone moves our story to a period of time close to the end of the ice age and the events that brought it on. Given that we see the oldest works have and still remain mind boggling in their size and magnitude, not to mention precision, it is at least worth asking the questions. Who, what, where, when and why. Toss out aliens and merely look at what is available. You see mathematics, architecture who's size we can barely muster today, and with lidar, can see vast expanses of buried cities far beyond a magnitude we thought possible. All from societies that quickly learned farming, domesticated animals, math and sciences, all around the world at roughly the same time. I think it more speaks to a cataclysm that 'reset' whatever world was there before. Oceans rose 400ft, coastlines were drowned, should there have been any shipping or sea travel, avenues of supplies were disrupted. Any civilization of any size would have collapsed, whether they had wooden boats or steel, cars or carts, concrete or cobblestone roads, the end of the ice age would have reset everything. The peoples WOULD have gone back to hunter-gatherer, until the world settled and it was possible to start rebuilding society. The cause of the reset became myth, then religion, humanity pushed onward, forming again, leaving us here today. There's plenty of non-alien oriented theories, but the alien theory is mainly what academia uses as a punching bag to debunk any real questions or theories in general. Why can't it be as simple as humanity having a worldwide civilization that a cataclysm reset? Today we sit vulnerable to an EMP from weaponry or even the sun itself, perhaps give a thought to the electricity going out and never coming back on? Where would humanity be in 10, 50, 500 years after that?

I can't address all the issues you raise. However, imagine you and a few others were transplanted to a new planet. You have only the technology you carried with you and must make do with what is available on the planet. (Remember, to make even a basic car, a rubber industry must exist, a metallurgy industry must exist, glass industry, paint industry etc.) What would happen is that you would apply your advanced knowledge to basic materials. We accomplished things like this purely with simpler tools than we have now, and there's no reason we can't do so again given the time, energy, and desire. One of my main goals in purchasing land is to build some kind of stone monument on it myself, just to do it. @@zzodysseuszz A lot of the bible's stories are taken from other cultures as the Hebrews attempted to incorporate other people's beliefs into their own. Imagine if one day someone just out of the blue claimed that their god was the best, and their creation story was true. Nobody would believe them. The Hebrews knew this, and incorporated other people's stories into their own in an attempt to gain credibility with other peoples. Think about the ubiquitous story of some kind of "World Serpent". The Hebrews made it Leviathan. Think about the Demigods across the cultures at the time, like Gilgamesh. The Hebrews made them Nephilim. This was an early type of syncretism in order to spread their school of thought. In terms of historical accuracy , the bible has it's moments, sure. When it comes to stories however, none of them make any sense, and even the slightest scrutiny will cause them to fall apart. things like Noah's Ark, Adam and Eve, etc.

Net result: people who increasingly become detached from reality as they - over time - basically "self-brainwash" themselves in an attempt to validate their beliefs. At that point = the sky becomes the limit of what they are willing believe - while the world is full of disingenuous people who are ready, willing, and able to profit from that gullibility. Moral of the story: the whole "aliens and mythical civilizations did.........." shtick is actually a business. Have a nice day.

The nexus between belief and causation as you alluded to = media - specifically the entertainment media. If you go back to say WWII and the beginning of what is colloquially referred to as the "Golden Age of Hollywood" you'll see where Hollywood beginning after WWII = began to flood the culture with movies and then television which expanded upon the memes we see today. They churned out all kinds of movies about UFOs and mythological civilizations etc. for decades - even the Three Stooges made a movie about space travel. lol! Then along comes the likes of von Däniken or Sitchin and later Tsoukalos - or more recently Hancock or Foerster et al. They - seeing all that "free publicity" thanks to Hollywood = began to profit from it in the form of fantastical narratives which "just happened" to dovetail into memes that Hollywood has perpetuated for many years now. Subsequently they created the narratives and pushed them out first via books and television - and today the internet. Moral of the story: so as noted the AA moppets reflect people who - having watched too much entertainment television and internet click-bait - are now allowing their flights of fantasy to override their logic. Meanwhile the people such as I noted above = are encouraging that belief on one hand and profiting from it to make a living on the other. It is in effect a cottage industry. Have a nice day.

Then, seconds later, he claims that rocks and sand was used to polish the surfaces. WRONG! And, as you can see for yourself, 99% of all of the comments are supporting this guys stupid and careless claims that alien technology was not responsible for the shaping and building of the pyramids and other structures. Or the hubris of wanting to explain "alien technology" when they cannot explain the most basic masonery techniques of our past. I wonder, if they cannot explain polishing rocks how would they be able to explain "alien techniques" of construction?

Yes while i don't deny people make money from "Ancient Aliens" videos and books, but it doesn't mean they lies. Even mainstream scientists and archaeologists make money, so what? I watched part of this video, but then i got tired when he just nitpicking stuff, he does offer alternatives but they all dismiss the main problem, example how many work force needed in ancient time to build those mega monument? how many people live during those time? What they eat? It seems like it is logical for ancient human did all that, but do human just follow orders from some dude who claim to Gods on the throne?

Not the same level at all. The alien "theories" (if you can even call them that) require a significantly greater number of assumptions. This makes them greatly inferior under Occam's Razor.

There's so many dislikes because there's information in this documentary that is outdated and false. For instance as of 2017 its widely accepted the Pyramids were not burial chambers. There's no hieroglyphs inside any of the Pyramids. There's never been a mummy located in any of them. That's now a widely accepted belief in the scientific community currently. Pyramids = NOT built for the purpose of a tomb. While the author was being truthful that the majority of stones that were used for construction were Lime & Sandstone, however, author downplays the amount of Granite used in construction which is significant inside the chambers. He also downplays the significance of the architecture's precision. The granite tolerances are so tight you couldn't fit a razor blade between the cracks, they are also waterproof. That's not an opinion its a fact. Which has been widely published as of 3 years ago. To say this was done with chisels, bronze saws with the help of sanding isn't feasible. All the testing that's been done to show it could be possible has only raised more questions. While it is possible to cut granite with rudimentary metal tools with the help of sand, the amount of time it takes is astronomical and its precision is extremely fallible. Which has led scientists to debunk the theory currently. The author also didn't mention the Pyramids location. The great Pyramid is located on the prime meridian, which is the geographic center of earth's landmass. Other interesting thing is about the great Pyramid is its alignment is almost perfect. It faces true North by 067 degrees. And what makes this incredibly interesting? There was no observable North Star that was observable then due to the earths tilt and equinox. So how could the Egyptians have identified true North so accurately? Also, as of 2016 4 years after this documentary was made, multiple articles have been posted in the Journal of Applied Physics that show the Pyramid can concentrate electromagnetic energy in its eternal chambers and under its base. Its now being theorized the Pyramids might have been used as a power source. I don't watch Ancient Aliens and i'm not looking for little green men as my culprit. But this guy is just as bad.
