I used Ayurvedic powders for the past 7 months. African American kinky curly like mine use the powders after shampoo then apply the powders I mix amla, henna, brahmi and sometimes aloe Vera powder and leave on for 2 hrs. Rinse then apply a deep conditioner leave for 20 minutes rinse. I do this weekly and my hair is healthy as it’s ever been!

Unfortunately, these powders dry out your hair strands. It helps to oil the hair strands first before applying the mask, especially to ends. Apply mazk to roots only.

Make sure to add aloe vera powder. And the methi is very moisturizing and will also help to overcome dry feeling

If you're oiling the hair strands before hand you're not getting the nutrients of the hair mask. Yes it dries out the hair, but the hair needs to adjust to what you're putting on it. I make ayurvedic shampoo and it did the same thing. After a short while my hair turned out really wonderful and I'm still using it. 😊 hooe this helps a bit.

I think where her hair is wavy shows the oil reverting her straight strands, the back is straight because she is not massaging that far down so less likely to have and residue on it and slowly wave back up. That's how my hair responds when straightened an I add oils to parts of my hair
