Ancient Badger Boxes Sent to a New Home

This video is a bit out of order because it ended up on the same SD card as the last few spring videos. But up next is all the stuff that happened after I deleted soy bean planting and the first few weeks of hay. Luckily, someone found me who wanted boxes only. Anymore, silage boxes bring down the value of running gears. The wheels will go under hay wagons eventually. The gehl wagons are doing well. These a couple more things removed from the crowded collection of stuff. I am in a cleanout mood.

Can't wait to see what replaces the badgers. We still have one like those. Not fancy but it moves the silage from the back to the front, wish it had a worm drive, the ratchet drives are just clunky IMHO.

The wagons are from the late 60s/early 70s which are ratchet drive. Badger switched to the more common worm gear drive before the mid 70s.

We have Gehl running gear that looks identical to those Badgers. I wonder if someone else manufactured those gears.

I went to our local new Holland dealer. Can't remember if they had parts in the shelf or if I had to wait to get the seal from a warehouse.

So I saw him post on Facebook on the silage kind group. He cut the cross conveyor out of the front and makes drive over silage pile.
