Here is a traditional Khmer cake that all Cambodian people always packing the Orn Sorm Chhrouk and Orn Sorm Chek [Banana Cake] but in this video, I want to cook Jackfruit Cake that packing from banana & palm tree leaves not use pig meat or banana fruit, I just used jackfruit to make a yummy cake of Khmer ancient cake.

Wow! Amazing,to see it's really time consuming. The beauty of watching the love and compassion they put into there preparation. What they learn and seen through there generation to cook and survive. Reminds, me of stories my parents shared with me. Growing up in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 without much how they walked in there Campos for water, fruits all kinds of things to prepare for a meal and always shared with others. Tells me to mentally prepare myself. For which my parents and great parents. Live this back in the days in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 The dish reminds me of a Pasteles that we make in Puerto Rico. I made a dish using banana leaf They are much better survivers than All Americans. We depend on electricity,tv cell phone. This teaches me to learn to do without discipline myself mentally to survive. They are true Warriors. Never take anything for granted 🙏 You never know what will tomorrow bring🙏

In my home town the not eat Jackfruit like that .the eat the seed went is brown boiling with alot water & salt. The another way the eat is went the white the take SEED out boiled peeled &MAKE RICE.most the ingredients you guys using.. make a good mix ingredients put some water let's boil & put the rice in went is dry cover &let's cook. Delicious

I love Jackfruit. Best tasting tropical fruit next to Mango. The Philippines has a similar desert. It's called Suman. Sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves or Coconut leaves cooked in coconut milk or steamed.
