Күн бұрын

Gondwana Chorale is Gondwana Choirs' national choir for young men and women aged 17-25. Steadily building a reputation as one of Australia's finest young choirs, Chorale has performed widely in Australia.
The Gondwana Choirs 21st Birthday Concert took place in 2010 in the Sydney Opera House. This concert is the culmination of a two week National Choral School, which includes Gondwana's other choirs and offers an intensive two weeks of rehearsals, performances and workshops with the leading figures in Australian choral music.

Simply astounding. Unless you've conducted a children's choir, I don't think you can truly appreciate how amazing this is.

Nostalgia, my goodness. I remember singing this in choir in Year 5. 10 years gone just like that.

It’s a Saxillo (wooden sax) made by our friend and mentor Linsey Pollak in Queensland. Adapted from the 19th century Hungarian re-creation of the ancient Tarogato. Tapered bore, overblows the octave like a true sax. Can be cross-fingered chromatically like a recorder...great sound!

I first heard of this song back in 2011, when I was in choir, as this one of the songs we had to learn. I have recently came back to signing this song because it is a good one.

What is that instrument? Is it an oboe or a clarinet type thing?

Mitchell Chimes It is actually a Middle-Eastern instrument. Paul Jarman is very fond of that type of music as you can probably tell from all of the perfect fifths and the sounds. I am however not aware of it’s name.
