Hi! Thanks again for your truly great work on You Tube! I'm in awe that you are able to answer most questions and I hope not to burden you with one that takes up your time needlessly. In one of your videos you mention to avoid works by Baal Kadmon and Eliphas Levi and maybe others that I don't remember at this time. I have found for myself the reason for Kadmon but why Levi? Maybe you could save me some time? Is it the whole Phileas(Good) Evil thing? And, would you put E.A Koetting or A.E. Waite in that same category?
@FoolishFishBooks
@FoolishFishBooks 4 жыл бұрын
I don't think I feel qualified to speak in any authoritative way about any of the authors you mentioned apart from possibly Kadmon whose work I actually got to assess directly. From what I know of Levi, I feel he was a great theoretical scholar, but he didn't necessarily believe in what he preached in any deep way. Unfortunately my memory is selective, and I don't remember exactly what I read of this that made me come to that conclusion, so I'm afraid I can't really assert any kind of definite stamp of certainty on that judgement. Of course, I'm aware that Dogme et Rituel de la Haute Magie is a massive classic, and so I think that he might be one to make your own mind up about... I know exactly nothing about Koeting, and I understand A.E. Waite made some baseless remarks of his own at some point (again, I'd have to dig up the sources and nature of these claims for any kind of legitimacy)... But you know, that tarot deck of his alone puts him up in the pantheon of the greats for me...

If I am permitted a question, which three books would you point to for someone seeking to understand the fundamental laws of magick or the occult, not so much the specifics of certain spirits or rituals but the underlying principles or mechanisms, as well as their application. I'm familiar with the Kybalion, and with Eastern philosophy, as well as the powers of legendary daoist masters, but a complete beginner when it comes to Western mysticism. Again thank you very much.

Great review as always whilst keeping the content vague so we may not be spoiled whilst still getting a good idea of the contents quality (although almost every book review of yours I've watched has been positive with maybe a few negative points, I don't recall a single one where I got the feeling you thought it had bad contents, which I suppose makes sense as you most likely know what you are getting into prior to buying the book due to either research or word of mouth) I wanted to ask, what esoteric associations or connections can be made from the hermit tarot card? I'm not nearly knowledgeable on esoteric ideas (only just got into my first few books thanks to your reccomendation mind you) but only that card in particular mostly catches my interests, so I thought it would be amusing to know more about what it means to certain demographics!
@FoolishFishBooks
@FoolishFishBooks 4 жыл бұрын
Hehe! It's true, I very rarely buy a book I'm not certain to like, I like to think of my channel as making recommendations rather than criticising, unless I've had a bad experience that I think you're likely to run into, like with Hell Fire Club Books who stole my money and never responded to any communication after that, or Nephilim books who also refused to answer any of my communications, or Dr Skinner who also refused to answer about multiple incorrect entries in his Magigician's Tables (as you se, it's mostly about people who don't respond rather than bad content!) About the hermit card, what can I say that hasn't been said already? I had a situation back when I was trading Bitcoin, when I woke up to the Hermit as my card-of-the-day (on my mobile app), and immediately saw the vertical drop of the back of his grey cloak as a bad sign. I checked the tracker on bitcoin, and it was fine. I went back to sleep for an hour or so. WHen I'd woken up, the price of BTC had plummeted, exactly in the shape of the hermit's cloak. SO you see, it's not always about introspection and me-time! XD

I saw this book on Amazon called “book of Smokeless fire” and many reviews saying it was such a dangerous book. It mentions Djinn. Any experience with those entities? I’d like a review of that book if you could haha also if you have knowledge of Demons, Daemons, Faries, Faeries, Djinn... I’d like to know how they differ.
@FoolishFishBooks
@FoolishFishBooks 4 жыл бұрын
I don't know much about Djinn - my guess is that they are likely analogous to the goetic demons. But I'm not speaking from experience or research, just an uninformed estimation of likelihood. The book you mentioned looks smartly presented, but as a paperback, I'd only pick it up if I desperately missed some contained information, and tbh, if I were to pick up a book on the Djinn, I'd pick up this one from Scrlet Imprint: scarletimprint.com/publications/jinn-sorcery

Someone brought up djinn to me and gave me overview but I can’t remember everything. Basically they said that djinn are mentioned in Koran and they were created before even the angels. Created out of smokeless fire. A theory they had and also a theory I had thought (when they mentioned the smokeless fire but hadn’t mentioned this topic yet) of when they were discussing them being creating out of this fire is that I wondered if they were made out of dark matter. I’ve heard other mentions that dark matter being related to creation and also another theory I had was black holes are just pockets dark matter. If you don’t know what dark matter is, in physics I was taught we consider space to be limitless, goes on forever, but my teacher said that’s not true, space is created of matter but scientist discover that space does end and once it ends you reach dark matter. They don’t know exactly what dark matter is, can’t really find out what a matter consists of if it’s the absence of it, hence why I concluded black holes are pockets of dark matter through space and why you can’t drop a camera in a black hole and get an idea of what it contains. But this person I spoke to said they also think djinn were made from the dark matter. Overall what I learned is trying to work with djinn should never be done. People will work with demons and such or dark entities in black magic but not much magical or such is taught to work with djinn, likely because no one would ever risk working with them. Djinn won’t listen. You can make a demon or dark entity do a spell work and maybe cleanse yourself, move on with life but djinn don’t like being told what to do. It’s like telling someone to be your slave (even if it’s temporary to do a spell) if someone said you are to be their slave, you would likely be against it, you would never be willing or happily comply. It’s like you’re calling them to do something against their will, they may do it but it comes with risk. Also there are good and bad djinn, like Aladdin is based on a good djinn. Also this person mentioned that the Koran/quaran prohibits people from working with djinn. Not much information is going to be out there since no one really bothers to invoke djinn due to it being dangerous. This is mainly all I know and got to learn from this person. She also mentioned more about the origin/creation of them and also brought up faeries too... faeries can be mischievous I heard so sticking to the typical entities people use for magick is likely the best option, more resources out there to work with them and more people who can share their experiences about them

Look at the mummy Pharaoh Rameses with his Caucasian features. Look at how many Egyptian pharaohs had blonde hair and were even red heads with Caucasian features. Their bodies today are laid in Museums for the public to see. North Africa Has been home to various groups of different foreign people who colonized and reigned. Black Nubians of the south had absolutely nothing to do with North Africa or Egypt. In fact it came out on the news that 50 percent of western European men share the same DNA as king Tutankhamun. Also ancient Egyptian paintings depict them as White and fair skinned people. I understand deep inside you, you probably feel ashamed and humiliated because of the slavery black people went through and you want to be able to feel proud of something but Egypt has absolutely NOTHING to do with you or your people

Foolish Fish you should do a video on the practical magick of sex majick. On this video i saw an interesting subtitle, a Box of Tricks has love and sex. I knew the ancient egyptian monks practiced sex magick. How? I'm still not sure. I still cant find any practical information on ancient egyptian sex magic. I am sure over time they refined the technique. It is so buried in obscurity. It must work? I am interested to know for what magical reasons, what techniques were practiced, and did it ensure a manifestation since it involves strong emotions? I remember going to the museum when there was a temporary show of ancient Egyptian artifacts. I saw an odd slanted chair with a phallus on the seat edge. On reading the note describing the artifact, it stated it was used by the religious monks/female during a sex ritual/meditation.
