Stumbled across you on Instagram a few weeks back and although I'm fluent in Spanish it's great to see you doing this long-form content in English too, just in terms of the wider audience it could reach. My grandmother was a refugee from Algorta to London during the Civil War and my dad now lives in Plentzia so I have strong connection to the Basque Country and find these aspects of both language and genetics very interesting. Would be great to see some more detailed breakdowns of these migrations and their interaction with linguistics. Also really like your other video about Euskera, I'm about to restart classes in London via the Euskal Etxea so getting my head around some of the more complex (for a speaker of Indo-European languages) aspects of grammar and structure is useful. I will be taking your advice and ignoring Hika for the forseeable future. Also really enjoying the shorter-form and more humorous stuff you're doing on Insta so keep up the good work!

The ANE are not European, they were a central Siberian population, which had 22% DNA from Eastern Basal Eurasia, which had a great genetic contribution in Eurasia and the Americas. The ANE brought their genetics to Europe through the Eastern Hunter Gatherers, who were 75% ANE and 25% WHG, through EHG the ANE component arrived in the Yamnaya and the Scandinavian Hunter Gatherers. However, other non European populations such as Western Siberian Hunter Gatherers and Altai Hunter Gatherers had 80% ANE DNA, and currently Western Siberians and Native Americans present the greatest contribution, with 45% of admixtures found in South American populations.

@@user-yt3xd2jl6d Hello. Thank you for the clarification. Yes, the people of the Kurgan are not 100% ANE. This is just a simplification. But when we talk about ANE presence in Europe, we’re addressing the genetics the Kurgan culture brought in the late Bronze Age. Thank you very much.

The Anatolian Farmers are the result of three human groups, the Anatolian Hunter Gatherers who mixed with the Levantine Farmers and CHG component of Mesopotamia, maintained their genetic base of AHG. The Balkan Hunter Gatherers share ancestry with the Anatolian Hunter Gatherers.

The Yamnaya do not have a direct mixture of ANE, they have an EHG mixture which is a derivative of ANE.

I have concerns how scientists are easily biased and can be under political pressure. Mostly because of Balkan region that Was time and time again politicized. EHG are native to Balkans, it is our craddle. Migration happened from Balkans to north. There wasnt any border and Albanians are not native to Kosovo
