We are pleased to welcome the talents of composer Yukiko Nishimura to our band catalog. Yukiko has written orchestra pieces for Carl Fischer for many years now and has thankfully written some band music this year! Her music is simply beautiful. This sensitive piece is sure to stretch the musicianship of your players. Yukiko's music is a breath of fresh air for the band world that you and your students will love.

Yukiko Nishimura is just such a beautiful composer, I had a few friends perform Luna by Nishimura and it was beautiful. It reminds me of how beautiful it is to be able to create music

So my band is gonna play this for the next concert, and as a flute player with his head in the clouds, I like to play the main melody an octave higher. Unfortunately that darn C in the stratosphere is near impossible to play so I leave that unchanged. It sounds really nice but I also wish that super high C wasn't so hard to get working.
