Heya friends! Wanted to make a couple of edits to the vid. The required donation number is 60, not 90. I even wrote down 60 in my notes but said 90 in the video. Had magic rock candy on the brain probably. Sorry bout that. And as for the cheat code, it works on PC, mobile and most versions but not on the switch. I have the switch version myself and assumed that all console versions were the same. Also I have a ton asking. The Link style outfit in the video is made with the Gnome's Cap, which is a reward for the Craft Master achievement, and the shirt is crafted with tailoring an ancient sword at the sewing machine. There's actually one more way to get an ancient seed artifact, but it's spoilers for 1.5 post community center content. So, in the walnut room, you can buy a deconstructor which will destroy crafted items but give back the most valuable component. If you've gotten unlucky enough to have not gotten the artifact, but maybe got some plantable seeds from a seedmaker or traveling merchant, you can throw the seed packet into the deconstructor and it'll spit out the artifact due to the artifact being the only component in the crafting recipe. Obviously, a very niche case that you aren't super likely to encounter, but it could be a life saver if you are having issues getting your hands on the artifact.

I found 2 ancient seeds in the mines just by grinding bugs, found 1 while fishing and 2 more from traveling merchant all in a year's time. And it was all accidental, you can never find the stuff you want if you're actively looking for it, you gotta not expect something for it to happen, that's why the unexpected will always happen

Given that it produces weekly and makes the most valuable wine ancient fruit is the most profitable crop

Starfruit wine is more valuable than ancient fruit wine (base price of 2250 vs. 1650, crop selling price is 750 vs. 550). Using deluxe speed growth, you can get 3 harvests of starfruit vs. 4 ancient fruit in a season, which again edges out the ancient fruit. Starfruit is the most profitable crop, though not by much, and requires fertilizer to get there.

@@Black-Swan-007 Ancient fruit isn't free either. Unless you keep to the ancient fruits you get from the artifacts, there is a cost depending on how lucky you are with the seed maker. The actual profit from ancient fruit varies a bit, but is so close to starfruit, that I'd call it a wash, which means that ancient fruit wins out, since it's less labour intensive.

@@Andvare Ancient fruit is 100% free unless you buy it from the Traveling Cart. Getting star fruit requires a trip to the desert which is 500g, plus the cost of the fruit which is 400g each and they don't regrow so you always have to buy more. Ancient fruit is the way to go, always.

I swear it mustve gotten easier to find. Played co-op with my brother and by the time spring was over, we had like 4 seeds. By the end of fall, we had like 9 seeds. And since we started growing in spring, we had hella ancient fruits which we turned all into seeds. Year 2 about to be popping.

Some weird thing I've come across. You can plant hops a few rows produces hundreds of hops a day. Process all the hops and keep the ancient fruit seeds. The hops starters sell for a good bit too en mass. I am using the automate mod though. It would be impossible to process all those seeds otherwise lol. The hops themselves actually work as a pretty decent energy source and you can also turn into pale ale which is quite profitable. Hops mvp.

I'm trying to achieve 100% completion, and for that you need the 10'000'000 G clock. So when year 4 started, I immediately planted about 800 ancient seeds on the farm, 119 in the greenhouse and about 600 on Ginger Island (basically as much as possible). While the cellar is full with them, I immediately sell all new growing ones, gaining 1 Millon G per week (which seems to be quite good). Maybe there's an even better way to gain gold, but I'm happy with it ^^

believe me, the easiest way to find the artifact is hunting bugs 4:10 like Wickedy say, just equip a strong weapon and you can rip does bugs in no time. and if you find an infested floor you can re-enter the same floor to increase your drop chance.

For those of us going the cask route..... If you are willing to use an entire day every other season, you can fit around 180 casks in your basement. I think I have 183. Put wine and casks into your backpack together. Place a cask, place a wine. Rinse and repeat. When the wine has reached iridium quality, harvest by using your axe to pick up the casks and wine together. Work in a pattern that leaves some rows behind to be harvested by hand to save some time placing the casks and wine for the new harvest. Props to my daughter Morgan (mechanical engineer) for figuring this one out and sharing it with me.

I was actually trying to get more blueberry seeds and I had my last blueberry that wasn’t sold in the seed maker. It was the end of summer so the plants would have died off and I wanted to get them in the greenhouse. Of coarse I get an ancient seed then and not when I needed one.

I wish we could, but we can't add any buildings to the island farm. There is an item unlocked in Qi's walnut room that let's you have access to your horse on the island though.

With the seed makers there is pattern that would allow you to get ancient seeds all the time, however it takes time to find a spot to start it. In the prehistoric levels, you can also potentially get one from cutting down the plants that grow on the edges! I didn’t know this was possible until I got one the other day from randomly swinging my sword at the plants. They look like fiddleheads but act more like weeds and aren’t forageables.

Ancient fruit is great for money but what’s equally important is time. For that I mass make coffee then make triple shot espressos for a significant speed boost. I refuse to play without coffee now, it’s like I’m hit with a speed debuff when it wears off😂

The method I used was rush the green house, plant half blue berries, then proceed to turn roughly 200 berries into seeds and hope I got an ancient fruit seed. I would get roughly 1 per harvest and sometimes 2. Then once I had a whole row growing just use the ancient fruit plants themselves to finish the garden and replace blueberries with starfruit as well as use any unused space for starfruit until completion.

Easiest Way: Hunting Bugs 4:11 Just Equip an Strong Weapon and Rip those Bugs in no Time. If you cant Get it in you 1st try just reset the game until you get one. A Quick tip, if you find an infested Floor betwen Level 1 - 30 (NO SLIME FLOOR) you can re-enter that floor as many times as you want until the end of the day to increase your chances.

I'm with you, and tend to haunt the upper mine levels (good source for bait & fiber, too) - but NOW, thanks to you, I'll stop hoe-ing after them(!!). Also agree about making wine (as keg space allows) - or selling the quality ones as-is. Lastly, at least in the first year[s], an ancient fruit isn't bad in your Fair display. I think it's "6" (plain, silver or gold), but rises to "8" in the happy event of iridium (same with the wine). Cheers !

Got lucky with the traveling trader... On mobile if you exit the shop and re-enter it you can get items you recently bought back in stock... So got four and planted 3 immediately and saving the last four greenhouse

I got the seed some time ago not realizing it's importance either until recently when I was trying to find the most profitable crop. When I went to go and donate the seed it happened to be an event day so everything was closed and when I slept and woke up the next morning I found that my seed was gone. I think I might have accidentally interacted with someone while holding it causing me to gift it to them. I'm so annoyed rn lol
