ANCIENT GEAR Deck: Multi-Attack OTK Ancient Gear Golem - Rank Duels Season 25 | YuGiOh! Master Duel

Finally, my favourite archetype of all times! I've been playing it since 2007 when the Structure Decks came out and i'm not going to give it up any time soon! For this one I have a really important "combo" to share that I've never seen anyone discuss online : recently people have started questioning wheter Reactor Dragon is even worth keeping or not when the new support drops... well, don't listen to these people. Instead, we are going to use our best boy as an important piece for our synchro summons. Yup, you've read that right, synchro Ancient Gear. And no, I'm not crazy or making stuff up, this actually works and it's unironically one of the best ways of playing this deck lmao Just summon Magical Hound and AG Reactor Dragon with Urgent Schedule. There you go, basically free and easy one card Baronne or Chengying. Then you can use Baronne to pop your Geartown or whatever and protect your board while you're going for Chaos AG Giant. And as if that wasn't enough, if our enemy placed down any face up spell/trap card like a floodgate or a field, we can summon Hound from our GY and go for another synchro while also bouncing said card to their hand. And that's not all, Urgent Schedule basically allows us to throw any generic level 6+ synchro monster we'd like on the field, so you can even do stuff like Hound + Machina Citadel (you should be using one of them in AG with Foolish Burial anyways, it's really good and one of your best win conditions) or Baronne into Psychic End Punisher, Therion King into Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss or any level 4 from your hand into a Naturia Beast like it's shown in the video, which can sometimes win games just by existing. Oh, and one more tip... just... just do yourself a favour and don't actually waste resources on this deck untill the support comes out in a couple of months. Yes, I know, OTKing with the coolest monsters in Yugioh history sounds fun at first, but then you quickly realize that it's not just reaaaaaally easy to stop mid-combo with any handtrap or negate, this deck is also somehow even more bricky than pure Kashtira, which is an incredible feat. Just go play Cyber Dragon or Earth Machine instead, those decks are actually decent.

Definitely an eye opener! I was way too invested on fusion summoning, that there are other summoning methods that we can do. Aside from Naturia Beast, we can also go with Baronne🔥🔥🔥

Played a game with an Ancient Gear deck last season which is a rare deck to come across...had Red Supernova and Abyss on the field and the guy had 2 Chaos Ancient Gear Giants on the field...he decides to enter the battle phase and plays Limiter Removal forgetting his cards are unaffected by all spell and trap effects. He surrenders afterwards. It's a good deck when the person knows how to play it.

Nice work Zed! 👍 A little late with this one but that vs Swordsoul was hilarious especially with the “Maxx C, protect me!” turns. Some players learn the hard way of playing handtraps at 3… Ancient Gears can be fun but need a little more than relying on big Fusion monster. Hope that recent support announcement for them helps out there

Nice work. One suggestion in the extra deck, I i find that i don't go into the ultimate ancient gear golem enough since he needs the og golem as a requirement, might be better to swap him with a baronne. Emergency authorization into reactor dragon and magical hound then can go into baronne for a pop and negate. The sprigans is a nice touch

I actually also saw a replay today for my 5 gems where the player used infinitrax anchordrill to bring out the magical hound. Make them both level 5 then went into baronne. Never thought of that.

I play ancient gear too, and while otk with chaos giant is impressive to look at it honestly rarely happens, this is like 10 wins after 100 battles

speaking of machines zed, about cyber darks, do you think of them as a machine deck, dragon deck, or a hybid deck of both?

I'd say a Hybrid. It is true that CyDark boss monsters are only machines, but both CyDark cannon and claw are dragons, and typically og CyDarks rely on equipping dragon monsters as their "unique" effects

Hello man, came across this vid when I thought of making an ancient gear deck in tcg. Can you kinda explain how the combo goes? I am a returning player and so far only familiar with cyber dragon combos...

I believe that we will get support for Ancient Gear for TCG/OCG anyway (I can't explain those supports yet, since I haven't experimented with them yet), but in Master Duel going second is better and prefer to OTK opponents using Chaos Ancient Gear. The deck still suffers on SS monsters that's why we use engines like Infinitracks or Machina to cover for these. Our main goal is to have four Ancient Gears on our hand or field (or have Ancient Gear Golem on the field) to fusion summon out Chaos Ancient Gear, and that's basically it XD

The Ancient Gear supports was just announced from other formats XD. We probably will be getting these supports early or mid 2025. If we're lucky then maybe Decmber 2024

Why not add the Superdreadnoughts in place of something like Verte and Naturia beast, since you have clear access through the two Trains you have? Also neat vid btw, gotta love any form of Earth Machine decks!

Hell no, especially not with the decklist shown in the video (not that it's bad, just sub-optimal). Even if you used it's best possible version it would still be worse than decks like Cyber Dragons. I mean, you can potentially get to Diamond if you're lucky like me, but getting to Master is almost impossible in the current meta. When the support drops though, this deck will absolutely shred through everything and you'll start seeing a couple of them even in Master 1, at least for a couple of months. As of right now, it's definitely not worth investing into, just wait for their selection pack.

@@rmiki96 Definitely can reach Diamond, but Masters, will be very difficult with the meta. Master duel also has lots of negates compared to other formats which the deck archetype is weak to

@@ZedLockYT Yup, sadly all the enemy needs to have to stop an AG combo is just a single well placed Ash Blossom or Effect Veiler and it's gg, and those cards are in basically every deck nowadays.
