As a MASSIVE Greek mythology fan, I would be ecstatic about this. 3:04 I don't know why but the way that a lot of people pronounce Charon pisses me off for some reason. 5:28 there is also probably inspiration from the golden fleece 7:32 Aegis is also the name of a shield or if you want to get specific it is either Athena's shield or the shield gifted to Zeus by Athena that has medusa's face on it 8:15 There were actually 3 gorgons in Greek mythology (Medusa and her 2 sisters, Stheno & Euryale) 9:26 This design likely takes inspiration from sirens 12:28 Wow it actually put the Hera part since technically Hercules is the roman version and the Greek mythology version would be Heracles

It is super awesome but there are definitely some problems with certain pokemon. Like the pokemon for Aries being grass type when it's a fire sign. The harpy being psychic instead of electric, ect. Edit: Also I think that the Pegasus should have been a starter because in the movie Hercules that is basically his "starter pokemon" so to speak. So there is definitely a lot of symbolism there and also there's never been a game with a flying type starter and I just think that would have been very interesting if they could have made that work, though I'm not hating on them for keeping things simple.

When i was 12 i made a region based on greece and norway (cause greek and roman mythology were interesting for me). The fire starter was a dog who would gain a head at each evolution, finally becoming a fire/dark Cerberus inspired pokemon. The grass starters final stage was a grass/fighting giant rhino with thick leaves as its hide and tree trunks for its feet and horns. Then the water starter was a water/psychic horse based on how Poseidon created horses. I also made a regional gardevoir line based on sirens, a regional exeggutor based on an olive tree, a regional machamp with a bow based on apollo, a flying/electric regional bird based on zeus, and a yogurt pokemon just to name a few. I had a whole map drawn out, including gym leaders, evil team, legendaries, a pokemon league, cities, mega evolutions and a full story. I enjoyed those days. Edit: i think i named it the Hollosan Region

I think what I like most about all these split evolutions is that it can be tied back into how Greek Mythology revolves around fate. 12:51 especially since defeating different monsters can change the trajectory of your journey

I've been a Greek Mythology fan nearly my whole life and this fan made region looks like the pokemon game of my dreams😍 I'm a big fan of myths and characters related to the Underworld and you can bet the Cerberus inspired pokemon is definitely my most favorite of this fan made region. The design is beautiful and the most original I've ever seen of a Cerberus inspired fakemon🙌 The idea of the smoke forming the extra heads is super original and so well executed here, I adore it. I very much want that fakemon to be real. Because of my favoritism for the Underworld, I should be saying the water starter is my pick for a playthrough. That final evolution being Charon related blew me away and I couldn't have asked for a better design. Also I love that the type is water-ghost👌However, the water started would have to be my second pick because the fire starter caught my attention first. I love the idea of mixing Hephaestus and the minotaur for this fakemon. The first and second stages are beautiful and that final stage evolution is excellent🔥 And though I'm not saying anything about the grass starter, I need to mention that this is the first time in a long while that I find a trio of fan made starters in which all 3 are equally fascinating and perfectly designed👏 The artist did a wonderful work with this whole pekedex, trully. About Fleeries, I think is sort of obvious (for those familiar with Greek Mythology) it's inspired by the Golden Fleece and the Aries constellation represented by a ram. It has nothing to do with the God of War, Ares. The regional bird looks great and it reminded me of how salty I still am that Staraptor isn't flying-fighting type x( The chimera pokemon is beautiful, as well as the Pyroar variant based on the Nemean Lion. The pokemon inspired in Ikarus and Perseus/Heracles are some of the most genius ideas for pokemon based in greek myths I've ever seen. These very creative and smart ideas very well executed. I wouldn't have the griffon pokemon as the regional bird, simply because it looks too op. I think it could make a good pseudo legendary. The pegasus pokemon could be a mythical. Although in this region is hard not to see the whole pokedex as mythical pokemon lol This gorgon pokemon has to be the best gorgon based fakemon I've seen. I've seen plenty of fakemon inspired in Medusa or her sisters but none have looked more interesting than this one to me. I do find a huge missed opportunity here and that's not having a trio of legendaries based on Hads, Zeus, and Poseidon. That would have been super neat and the perfect end to this glorious pokedex. My comment is long and I still think I don't have enough words for how marvelous these designs and ideas are. Maybe this is the best fan made pokemon region I've ever seen👍

5:10 the reason it looks soft it that its also based on the golden fleece, wich grants healing powers and abundance so this pokemon could have a very good balance between the concept of war and healing/protection, making it a very well balanced pokemon 14:52 that could be a reference to the three fates of greek mythology, same as the beetle at 15:02, wich makes sense becouse there is a bettle that's called atlas all in all, a ton of work put into fun facts, mythologic details and working witht he dynamic of the game!

I was re-watching Pokémon XYZ and the last episode had a setting that looked close to Ancient Greece and it would be so cool if we had a game set in that time frame where you are in Ancient Greece at the time where the hero’s girlfriend gets turned to stone but it would also be cool if we could have a game where you are a researcher or trainer (with challenges) trying to find answers to what happened to the people from the story ( that would be in a more modern time frame) and you could meet professor sicamore
