I have recently come out of Mormonism after about 5 years. Very good information. I have been watching many of KZbin videos which have guided me to the Orthodox Church. I attended my first service last weekend and will be going again. I love the connection to the original apostles. Having been 5 different denominations and several non-denominational I love the connection to history and the founding of the church by the apostles. This is something you NEVER hear the LDS/Mormons talk about. If they did it would destroy their entire narrative of a "restored" church. Thank you for this video which adds to my education and return to the original church. I particularly love that Orthodox in these videos often say that we are too small as humans to even comprehend the nature of God. I love the acknowledgement of the mystical side of things as we lack understanding. Everyone else claims "we have this figured out." I have always asked, "how could you?" Anyone that can create everything has to be beyond my understanding.

This was wonderful. I'm a Lutheran and have to say that it doesn't surprise me in the slightest that the Orthodox absolutely rock when it comes to understanding ancient heresies. When I first became a Christian I studied and studied to find out who God is, and learned immediately about the Trinity and the two natures of Christ, and the early councils of the Church. Thank you for strengthening my faith in these things :)

Excellent Video took years of personal study and trials and personal pain , through false churches to come to the same historic conclusion.

Very well spoken and good knowledge. Just one thought Dr. Tibbs. Many members of my family are evangelicals and they hold true to the orthodox bible and believe not in the heresies you mentioned. And they do call out the error many Protestant denominations have adhered too. Just to let you know that not all non orthodox are lead astray. Thank you for the many wonderful insights. I am a Greek Orthodox by the way and and advit reader of the Bible

the virgin birth just makes the most sense. if our bodies cant withstand the physical presence of God then Marys body could not have carried God inside herself through pregnancy if she were not pure and innocent, full of grace.

I was in full agreement until I got up to 1:02 on the counter. Mary "always a virgin" means what, exactly? That Jesus had no brothers? But that isn't scriptural. So how is this explained, per an Orthodox Christian view; anyone?

Heresy is a sin. Sin is lawlessness. If you are endorsing or promoting heresy, then you are practicing lawlessness. Please be wise and be careful of what you teach.

Arrogant. There is no clear teaching in the Bible that Jesus is God. And certainly no command requiring this understanding for salvation. It's this elitism that drive people out of the orthodox and Catholic Church. And what proof. Do you have that the Holy Spirit had anything to do With the outcome of any of these councils ? None it's all interpretation
