Hello! ビデオの中のどこかで、京都の伝統的な油屋について言及していましたが、今その名前を見つけることができません。岩手で家をリフォームしています。Thank you for your fantastic videos. You're my favorite KZbin account. Please let me know if you ever come to Iwate.
I asked this in another video, but I wonder if the owner pays you back money or allow for reduced rent for the improvements and costs of repairs you do to improve his house? After you leave he can charge more rent from the next person but you paid for those improvements. Or you will remove everything when you leave?

Thank you for your comments and kind advice. I haven't checked the rental agreement yet but will make sure to negotiate when its time to move out. It would be nice if I could leave the refurnishings. I will try to make them as neatly and as functional as possible so that the landlord might ask to pay for me to leave them. By the way, my wife is Japanese Canadian and was happy to read your comments.

@@kyotoclassic6114 Hello from Vancouver!! If your wife is from Vancouver area please tell her that tomorrow the temperature will drop down to -12 degrees, very unusual. I was happy to hear back from you... I used to live in Kyoto for 3 years from 1984-1987. Maybe before you were born? I assume that you are a father by now? If so, congratulations!! I imagine that you are very busy now. Maybe to share your office/house with another computer person would bring in some money if you now live with your wife and little one. I also want to say that I admire how much work you have put into the house. Machiya need to be loved but boy are they cold to live in. I lived in a large Machiya near Tofukuji and sealed up all the gaps in the windows with celo tape. Take care, maybe make a video of your new family? Stay safe.
