In ancient Greece, dancing was not just for leisure; it was a form of ritual, an integral part of initiation ceremonies and religious activities. Many ancient dance names survive to this day (such as pyrrhichios), with the renowned syrtos still being performed.
Paganéa is an original composition for the ancient lyre inspired by ancient Greek ritual dances and our shared ancient musical heritage.
In this video, Thanasis Kleopas performs on a custom LUTHIEROS lyre, masterfully handcrafted in Greece by the LUTHIEROS family, along with Loukiani Papadaki on dancing.
