Some of memories on CS - 1) quietly playing on the loft during many mid nights with lights off and sounds off when I was at my secondary school, 2) partying with my colleagues at work on Saturday at his house, arrived 8am with some snacks and play until 11pm before the last train is due. Quite introvert as I grew up and this game has brought me so many friends.

n 1.1, we played in clubs in Russia, and since version 1.3, I have already played Dual-Up on the servers of my city's provider in distant Siberia, the ping was about 100, but the shooting was much better than in the new CS 2, in version 1.6 we already played 100 mbps, we had a new provider in 2002 and I was the administrator of those servers, held local championships, connected the broadcast and then uploaded demos to the ftp server.

I remember being like 9 years old and going to Internet cafes in my home town of Los Angeles and playing in HUGE lan games with like 30 players at a time. I was TERRIBLE but I had so much fun! It allowed me to experience gaming during its golden age, and I would return weekend after weekend to play and surround myself with a fun and immersive environment. Now adays, a kid would get kicked and never have a chance playing in lobbies with more serious players. In the old days, we never had that mentality, it was just about fun, and passing the time. If you were good, you were just the local legend at the cafe, and if you were really good, your name would even get written on the wall!

Really enjoy watching the focus of the game being on the gun fight vs. the perfect utility and strat execution. People today LOVE to cream themselves while telling other people about how much of a tactical, team-based game counter-strike is. Sure, it IS that, but it's also this: shooting your opponent before they shoot you. The game would benefit from a significant reduction in utility availability/usage.

those were old clanbase settings, they would play 2 games/maps and the first team to get 25 rounds (2x MR12) wins. this is most likely the only demo he recorded or published.

I remember way back 2003-2007 iwas just 10 to 14 years old. That was my highest prime. I destroyed alll the top players in our place even adults. I destroyed them 1v1 ot even 1v3 . And my sniper skill is insane i can do a pretty good sniping accuracy without sniper crossair dot. My sniper scope is just round without a dot and lines. And i dont use any hack. Just pure skill. Miss those days.

It has a recoil... But the spray was just predictable and not random hit like in 1.6. I think this demo confused us how the recoil looked but in game, it's a bit different
