A compelling story of a character that is not necessarily good or bad, but rises up to accelerate and succeed in a difficult situation against the odds. Usually there is some moral or allegorical teaching behind each Greek hero myth.

As none of those pictures was embellished, I'm thinking a lot of big dick energy, or maybe envy perhaps.

For hundreds of years, the Athenians maintained a ship that they believed was the one sailed by Theseus back from Crete. They would sail it to Delos in a religious ceremony. Over time, every part of the ship had to be replaced, so the question of whether it was still Theseus' ship became a philosophical paradox.

Those who like historical fiction might like to read Mary Renault’s novels “The King Must Die” and its sequel “The Bull From The Sea” both of which tell the story of Theseus (Edited to correct the error)

Theseus, lord of Athens, brought order in the midst of chaos. Raised in Trozen, he was exposed early of decit amonst men. The journey itself was a test, each criminal used force to keep travelers away from the main road. As he arrived to Athens, Theseus was awarded by father Aegis with prestige after Medea plot was exposed. Heroism, in myth, is rooted on guilt; a fault in which Athen's ruler cannot admit. After the Minotaur's defeat, we see a different side of Theseus. An oathbreaker and stealer of hearts; an adventurous spirit that continued on, until reaching Hades's realm....
