I think the solution to the offroader's desire for a retrievable anchor is to sacrifice the anchor but be able to retrieve the cable. The underground portion of the anchor will have paid for itself if the vehicle can get unstuck. Getting the above ground cable back by using a cable loop instead of a single line to the anchor is economically and environmentally friendly.

I highly suggest designing and mass producing a retrievable anchor for extreme offroad winch applications. Sometimes you can get your vehicle stuck and need to use a winch to get yourself unstuck. Winches require trees, rocks, or other vehicles to function as an anchor point, but you dont always have those options on the trail, but dirt is literally everywhere. If you developed an offroad winch anchor, which actually works, unlike everything else on the market, I would gladly buy it for my trail rig.
