This was definitely my era. We would practice and perfect every And1 moves on the courts. Rafer Alston AkA Skip to my Lou, the first And1 player to make it into the NBA....Orlando Magic.
@mikejones99064 жыл бұрын
At one point Skip To My Lou was bigger than 95% of the players in the NBA and it was all because of this mixtape. Would've had a billion views if we had KZbin back in the day.

Thank you. I cry a lot now. When I see your videos such as this. I devoted my life fighting for my people. I chose to become a monk. I traveled and hung out in cathedrals and monasteries around the country. And slept among the brambles and thickets in urban parks and abandoned buildings. Always humble. Always anonymous. Always mindful of God. Always willing to give my life in service to others. But especially my people. I am a Contemplative. A Warrior monk. A Ronin. And I was a terror on the battlefield of discourse and in courtrooms across the country. Fighting for such young black males. My victories known only to me. And to those I defeated . And to God. For instance: Murry v. Oakland County Board of Probation. Look it up. It dealt with LIFETIME PROBATION. Primarily for young black males such as in this video. Black kids in Detroit were often told: Dont cross 8 mile. When black males did, they were and are arrested and placed on lifetime probation. In effect , slaves in perpetuity. I got word of it. And a program called Operation Nighthawk that was targeting black males. I am old school investigative print journalist. I went undercover. And I brought them down. I have many legal victories. And only recently now that STARE DECISIS has been eliminated, have I suffered defeat in the courtroom fighting for a future for these young black males ( and females). I know about the Flint Michigan water disaster. I tried unsuccessfully to stop it. It had something to do with hi speed transit. Everyone in Detroit with political positions were being rounded up-- including mayor kwame kilpatrick. So I decided to take them on. I filed a civil rights action against the detroit department of transportation. Obama sent his transportation secretary to detroit to take me on. Alone (as usual) I went up against lawyers from secretary of transportation. D Dot lawyer. City lawyer. Against me. In the courtroom. Alone. Except for God. That case is : Murry v. Detroit Department of Transportation. Look it up. I have landmark cases to my credit. An old jailhouse lawyer who was feared by those who would inflict justice on my people- - not only in my pleadings but also my trial skills in the courtroom. I freed hundreds of wrongly convicted young black men. Taught hundreds more how to read and write. Now that I am infirmed. Terminally ill. I look forward to your videos, your archive of black history and culture. And I weep. And in my Sinners Prayer, I ask God have I done enough. For my people. For humanity. For my soul. Thank you, Reelblack, for these poignant moments. Peace.

The And1 Mixtape Tour was really amazing then on early 2000s, were bigger than NBA outside the states. we played almost 4 years playing with tricks and moves, not the whole game but from a moment, a pair of Skip or Hot Sauce crossovers and lay ups. i never understood why the league adopted the FIBA regulations in 2005-2006 and a strategical direction to play games with flashy three pointers instead of the classic ofensive plays, gentle crossovers and good dunks. something lost the league until now. I recommend about streetball YPA: The War mixtapes, Dime 55: The Movement mixtapes, The Notic mixtapes from Vancouver and Streetball.co.uk footage. Regards from Chile.
