In a critical time, amusing preaching is a distraction. Fire and brimstone is a theme Allistar has forgotten. Sweet preaching won't due. The heat of sin will only be felt when the preacher feels the heat comfortable living cools the coals a fire. Hell fire preaching, i am thankful for, for hell fire preaching lit the flame under my sinful self and drove me to the Cross. I am thankful

Seems to me like he is feeding his sheep. that "hell fire" may have worked for you. But everyone is different. I tried for a really long time to be obedient from a place of fear but it never worked. Only when i got to hearing about the love, compassion and gentleness of Jesus did it cause me to want to do everything in my control to be as obedient as possible, and pray that through the Spirit, God strengthens me in my many weaknesses. Fear is a decent motivator for a short time, but love the love of Christ that nothing else in this fallen word compares to. Thats what we need to hear over and over and over again to sustain us to fight the good fight. God bless William!
