All You Need Is Ably House. Love these videos, guys. Nice to have a mutual obsession about The Fabs, and about the exact ways they played. George's parts are so gorgeous - actually, the bass and rhythm are great, too.

this is right up there for most underrated greatness ( if such a thing with the Beatles is applicable) of their songs.

It's fascinating to me that you young guys are so into Beatles' music...and I mean *INTO* the music! Every dang video of yours that I watch is like a friggin' college course in how the Beatles created their music. But the more I watch (and listen), the more I tend to think that some of what we might think of as very contrived and planned was simply borne from the spontaneous genius of creation that the guys were famous for in the truncated time they had in the studio. They certainly didn't have a ton of time to work out these complicated arrangements - a lot of it must've come naturally (with guidance from George Martin, the real fifth Beatle, of course). Great job on this video, boys!

Thanks a ton, inspired by your all instruments cover, I'm making one too. I have Focusrite Scarlett solo 3rd gen interface, but I have no clue how to record a BASS guitar using interface. I have Ableton Live Lite 10 and Pro tools first DAW amd a bunch of stuff that comes bundled with Focusrite. Could you let me know or point me to a good video on how to record bass to make it sound like Paul's? Thanks in advance. I'm hoping to release the video by this Friday, so a quick response would be highly appreciated. ✌️❤️

According to Beatles Gold book (1980's) the opening chord of Hard Day's Night is a misprinted open G 11 chord but I've always used G7 Sus, at the third fret. Oh, other than that, what can I say? FAB perhaps! Just found you a few hours ago..

Donny 8oi - It isnt actually that much if you consider buying one per year. They eventually add up to a large collection. A lot of people spend thousands per year on alcohol, cigarettes, movies or games, whatever it is. If you put that money to musical instruments instead, you can have a lot of really cool stuff, especially after 15-20 years

Use Hofner bass, telecaster and Casino on Sun King
@jordanchastain51324 жыл бұрын
@@dlgeiling well we're not recording Sun King but I want to recreate the bass tone. I can either use my Ric or Hofner because I can get the same tone from both and I was gonna use rotosound 88s since that's apparently what Paul used during that time
@neilcandeloramusic4 жыл бұрын
I also vote that is hofner, and I’m not sure if there’s a fuzz in it or not. I’ve plugged in my hofner to a 69 bassman, cranked it way up and flipped up the middle pickup switch and it sounds pretty identical. You can hear it crapping out the amp at certain moments in sun king, as if he plays slightly too hard and overdrives it, then really lays in when they go into Mean Mr Mustard (they were both recorded in one go).

@@jaziferret1138 no, first of all Paul didn’t use labellas, he used pyramids. I don’t like labellas, they are far too much tension and dark - I break leballas like no ones business. Some basses they are fine, but not on hofners IMO. Any medium scale to short scale strings are “made for hofners”

First you learn major scale. Root - whole - whole - half - whole - whole - whole - half. Then you take Root, 3rd and 5th as proxies for all 7 notes of a scale, as they are most symmetrically distanced notes. When you sound Root, 3rd, 5th together, you get a chord. But in general open string shapes you play R 3 5 on most of the 6 strings, so these notes are repeated. Eg: C - whole - D - whole - E - half - F - whole - G - whole - A - whole - B - half - C. Therefore C (root), E(3rd), G(5th) when sounded together form what is known as a C major chord. But on guitar we play E C E G C E from top 6th to bottom 1st string, so the 3 notes are repeated. A to A# is half note, A to B is whole note viz 2 half notes. B and E don't have sharps. Similarly you should learn minor scale and minor chords. Then go advanced and learn 7 th chords, sus 2, sus 4 then go Jazzy n learn add 7 add 9 diminished etc.
