Voodoo may be home but he is not out of the woods and the hospital told you that it would take some time. Please monitor him closely because it could be nothing but "dog days of summer" but also maybe something more serious and not obvious to our eyes. That wound might have closed on the outside but perhaps pus and/or fluid are building up on the inside. Maybe dirt or something got inside before it closed up. Also scar tissue near his carotid vein could be causing trouble. You say his feet seem off. Good the farrier is coming. That accident really took it's toll on his body and his psych. Pay him lots of love and attention - I think he really needs you more than ever right now Jami. I'm just talking out loud trying to think of what could be happening. I worry about Voo so much. I was thinking a similar thing. There could be a hidden pus pocket forming deep in his wound. It’s not large enough to cause a fever yet or show any kind of external bulge, but enough that it feels uncomfortable when he moves his neck.

Voo is truly blessed to have you as his human, Jami! The only thing I can think is it's like when I had a hella abdominal surgery. No joke, the scar on the outside healed up ( from belly button down). But- it was a year- before I could climb a set of stairs without stopping to rest. And I clutched a pillow for coughing, or God forbid- laughing, for months. He is still healing on the inside. Just keep spoiling him rotten- and loving on him like you do.

Its the weather Jami i beet. I even cant wait till it cools off. We have it cool in wisconson early and through the night . We still need fans on. Then it is in the upper 70's and upper 80's sunny during. We havent had much rain . I myself feal weak and tired. Useally i start putting out Halloween stuff by now. I get way too drained in this. At 70 it takes more out of me. So soon as the lower 70's get here which is In the next couple weeks ill be back to normal and my new decorations will be out so all the kids can enjoy them.Halloween is my favorite Holiday.

Voodoo went through so much, it’s going to take him months to recover after everything he went through. if everything seems normal, including no fever and no discharge then just chalk it up right now as it is blistering hot out and it will affect him more than it did before. Take the hose and cool him down and don’t forget he’s been used to extra loving attention lately and maybe he just misses that.
