It's funny, my guinea pigs do the same thing, they'll be munching away and all of a sudden they freeze and stare off into deep space as if they were solving some sort quantum physics problem in their head..... the moment passes and they resume munching. Must be a rodent thing, probably listen for predators, no matter why they do it, it's always funny.

A gf years ago had a pet rabbit. One night we were having broccoli and I gave her rabbit the bottom stem. Later that night I was amazed such a large smell could come out of such a small animal. I think it will be dueling sphincters at the Chunk house tonight.
