Yes. The list is a great idea. I check off things as I pack them to leave. Then, I draw a line through the item as I repack to come home. That way I don’t leave anything behind.

After 2 "blowouts " on a previous camping trip (one of my biggest fears) my husband purchased a thing called Tire Minder from Camping World. It has sensors that go on all the tires and it monitors the pressures. It will alert you if pressures drop and tell you what tire it is. We love it and wouldn't leave home without it ever again. Safe travels 😊

Yes Jessica it is not fun having a blow out on a busy highway! We had one and it was on the traffic side I was so scared for my husband but everything turned out OK! We went and bought all new tires for the toy hauler..

I'm so impressed with Bunkey's driving skills with this great big RV .Good on you two for going out on your big adventure while you are young. Hey guys ! Your videos are fun and entertaining. As a Grand Design Fifth Wheel owner I will comment on the tire pressure issue. I believe y'all should be at 80psi. That one tire reading 73psi should have been filled to specs before traveling and I would argue all should have been set to 80 psi. As others commented get a nice tpms system. In addition get yourself a high quality 12 volt air pump like Viair. You all have some really nice camping accessories like the Komado grill, so spend some money on those safety items!!

Hi Martin, glad to hear from another Grand Design owner! We will certainly be adding air to all of the tires before setting out on our next travel day. Also, as you mentioned, we do have a Viair compressor, and our RV did come with the TireLinc TPMS so we'll be connecting that before leaving for our next destination. We had one blow out in the Smokies and are rig us currently up in blocks because we had our breaks seize up a couple of weeks ago on our way home. Hello there from the Richards...We love our Grand Design! One thing you might want to think about if staying at a place for a while is cleaning your roof off if under tree's. We do ours once a week or every two just to keep our gutters clear and thing away from AC units. We used to broom it but now we use a leaf blower. That was a game changer, only a couple of minutes. We also ALWAYS clean the roof and slides before bring the slides in. Hope you have an amazing stay. May GOD bless you always!!!

Welcome to the area, our sticks and bricks was in Bluffton and we lived there for close to 40 years raising our kids. Went full time in our RV in 2016. Came back in the RV a year ago for hubby's work and also to spend some time with our kids and grands. Some in Bluffton and some in Savannah. You should weigh yourself at a CAT scale. RV weight gain is more than you think. We have had an Anderson hitch for 7 years and unless they have changed grease on the ball is not needed nor recommended. ALSO after the 5th wheel is on the hitch loosen the 2 side bolts on the hitch base and RE- TORQUE the top bolt and then the side bolts. You will be surprised by the additional turns to reach proper TORQUE. This keeps the base from shifting in the bed of the truck now that the weight of the RV is on it.
