Completely! We were very lucky with the weather. Lots of preparation goes in to weather watching and timing of fronts. It is also part of the journey.

Did you ask if you could move to another slip? No way I would stay there with all of that rocking against the dock.

We did ask, unfortunately they did not have another slip available. The strait had 40-50knot winds that night and the swell was coming in to the harbor which wasn`t great. Luckily it was only for the night as we were leaving bright and early. We heard they were trying to get permits for a 2nd breakwater to block the swell coming in, but no ETA was known at the time. Nice new marina but the swell was brutal funneling off the existing breakwater and rocky entrance. Lots of fenders and doubled up all lines.

Diesel or premium?

Diesel is what we fueled up with. With a full fuel tank it will last us about a 10-12 months of our adventuring.
