Just watching this video, it reminds me that you’re the only one I can trust for 😭😭 cause why tf everyone hyped up books that really doesn’t deserve that attention

I just bought Middle of the Night and Midnight Feast and wasn't sure which to read first, but after hearing your thoughts I'm definitely going with Midnight Feast first. Thank you!

You should still read MOTN it’s actually really good in my opinion.

@@Reading975 I still plan on reading it. I've seen some mixed reviews, but I'm still very excited to check it out for myself. I was just struggling to decide which to read first since I picked both up at the same time. Thank you for the reassurance that it's a good read :)

One of my all-time favourite Alice Feeney books is Daisy Darker, but l think his and hers was one of her weakest books. The family remains is a good follow-up to the family upstairs. My favourite Lisa Jewel, though, is The house we grew up in. Ruth Ware has a new one out that l just started!

Read ‘None of this is True’ on the back of your previous review, amazing! I am from UK and completely get the period confusion. I kept on having to remind myself this was modern day not 1960/70’s London. But loved. Big Wayward Pines fan, agree with your comments completely. Was really underwhelmed by ‘Silent Patent’, I guessed the twist quite early on. I was given ‘Mirrorland’ to read the same time, I found is so much better and underrated. Thanks for the book share, I keep topping up my never ending list. Usually big on horror but definitely love the thrillers you suggest 💕

I totally agree with you on Midnight Feast I also thought it was great. I've not read her other books but based on the strengths of this one I totally would. It would have been very easy to mess up juggling as many characters as this book has but Lucy Foley is able to make them all memorable enough and distinct enough that you're able to follow all of the webs she's weaving.

I just LOVE Thrillers and Horror. I have Rock Paper Scissors on my bookshelf but want to wait until the Fall to read it. I feel the same about Shari Lapena's books as well. I think I've read three of their books so far and I can't remember anything from them after I finish them 😅The Unwanted Guest is actually their only book left on my shelf that I haven't read yet. I had a delayed Summerween because I was away on vacation and I read Where He Can't Find You by Darcy Coates and it was sooooooo good.

I just finished and loved Watching You by Lisa Jewell and highly recommend it. You and I seem to have similar feelings about her books, so I think you’d probably like it, too! My hold on The Midnight Feast just came in, so I’m excited to start that one!

I’m hoping to find a good thriller book for this year. Great video! I may have to try a few of your favorites on that list. 😊

Totally agree on Middle of the Night- I was so disappointed. I was hoping there would be something interesting with the institute and I also guessed a lot of the twists as well

That Midnight Feast cover is so much nicer then our boring orange UK version 😂

Halfway through Middle of the Night I also got a sudden feeling and I don’t know what it was. I think it was the chapter right after they suspected Billy’s mom. I was like “omg it’s gonna be this person how annoying” and honestly I liked the rest of the book just not the resolution. I also don’t think they’d sentence someone to 20 years over that. I think they’d plead guilty to concealing a crime or desecration of a corpse and the other charges would be dismissed. There’s no one around to push for conviction anymore and the court usually looks at the incident and events afterward like what the person went on to do with their lives etc

10 minutes of the first 15 minutes of talking was probably you driving home the point of "I didn't hate this book. I liked it. Its just..." Im fairly new to your channel but are your viewers sooooo ADHD that they can't remember or focus that you've made that point very clear at the beginning? I mean, you did speak English when you said that. idk, anyway good video and great breakdown of each book.
