English is not his first language. He is Chinese educated. Don’t think he is an introvert if you see him sings, rap and play guitar in his Instagram and in local media like radio station and tv interviews. He had tons of interviews locally and he was so much sporting, fun and funny.
@puffpride5967
@puffpride5967 3 жыл бұрын
@@tung8833 Lol I know I am Malaysian myself. Being an introvert doesn’t mean that he can’t be funny and such because he’s funny in this video too. I think he is more comfortable with local media because he knows them personally (especially with the peeps from astro arena and the people he goes on IG Live with). Fans have picked up that he’s an introvert because he prefers spending time in his room watching NBA or playing FIFA instead of joining the rest of his team messing around and making tiktoks. We rarely see him on people’s IG stories too. There’s nothing wrong with that, I’m an introvert myself and can totally relate :) I just think it’s interesting to see how Ginting, who doesn’t speak English very well but gave long answers VS Zii Jia who speaks English quite well but does not elaborate his answers unless prompted especially at the beginning of the podcast. But I can see that he has come out of his shell towards the end

He is definitely enjoying this podcast, but by looking at his gestures, you can tell that he is uncomfortable. The whole time he was sitting on the edge of his seat lol which is a sign of a LZJ not being close to HK and AA, and he constantly gaving short answers. But, he is willing to come out of his shell for joining this podcast, which is good for him.

honestly, after lee chong wei era i barely know the next apprentices. but after years, lee zii jia and the other players starting to get more recognition and i think it's a good thing for them but not the comparison part. started to watch most of his tournaments and i understand he has his own style and comparing him wont make anyone better. but thats the culture of Malaysia anyway. i was not really into sports but hope little supports from us could be helpful for them regardless victory or losses. plus i admire the sportmanship between the players and others. and these players, they bring Malaysia to the eyes of the world and that's enough for us to proud for. hope zii jia will have speedy recovery! you will have a great journey of your own! thanks antonsen for this interview. Great content and hope you're doing great too.

@@farry6779 agree!!!! Can say that even as for me lives in rural area, i can see most people here enjoy playing badminton more during the free time especially before maghrib and even on the night. So badminton is pretty famous sport. Yes with the internet, it makes it easier for us to get exposure on that. Also we have our athletes now taking opportunity to do vlog and sharing their experiences with us. Some cam be very inspiring and exciting! Hope they get the recognition they deserve and gets stronger. All the best for all athletes. Our supports are always with them😆

I can already feel how bad those harsh comments already even from the sharings from both Ziijia and Antonsen, and they don't even know how tough and tired it is to compete in such big tournaments while just typing all the harsh comments towards players when losing. Likewise what Antonsen said if win, the comments literally will hype you up, as if some will support without commenting negative things if lose! Kudos to Antonsen and team for having Ziijia on this podcast, all the best for world championship and Indonesia open💪💪

It's fantastic you are inviting guests on to the vlog. This one with Lee Zii Jia and the previous with Anthony Ginting is bringing something extra to an already great channel. I'm sure I'm not the only person to say this, you need to get Viktor on. It would be great to see him on the Badminton Experience.

I love this episode as much as i like Anthony ginting episode and also many videos/podcast youve posted here. In this ep i see you are like 3 friends talking randomly from one topic to another but still fun and connected. Also love the brotherhood between AA and Hans.. so funny. Cant wait for the next episode.

Thank you so much for this podcast! Really Awesome, such a meaningful one! 💖 Good that LZJ never compared himself to Our Legend, Dato Lee CW, because each individual is different and unique. I hate it so much when people gave so much negative comments & compared one player to other players. I believe each player performed/played the best in each tournament, to achieve his/her goal. So keep up your wonderful spirit, LZJ! Hugs!🤗💞🇲🇾

Exactly never compare as each have their own journey to their desired destination. Actually we shud admire how they discover, learn, progress towards their individual success. Only losers compare bcus probably they have arrived at the deadend feeling lost.

I have been following the whole badminton experience podcast on KZbin, and I really like watching the friendship that they built with players from many countries. Also, I felt that I truly like the relationship between Anders and Hans, they complimented each other. And, it's true that Lee Zii Jia keeps getting compared but I'm glad that he is still holding on. Ps: As a Malaysian myself, Hyatt is pretty hard to stay in financially too hahaha.

Thanks for interviewing our local star, Antonsen! I wish you only the best for your badminton (& vlog!) career! It'd be interesting to see you doing podcast with woman in badminton next! I've always wonder how these ladies (be it WS or WD) live as an athlete.
