Glad to hear you are enjoying the Anderson Hitch. Been looking at upgrading from bar design. Thanks for the update!

I installed my Andersen weight distribution hitch per instruction, it seams to me that every time I disconnect and reconnect the chains are to long or to short. When I get to my destination and disconnect I loosen the nuts on both sides and remove the shark fin all is good. When I leave and reconnect the amount of threads remaining at the end of the nuts are always different. Sometimes I run out of threads sometimes I don’t have enough threads to even start the nuts. Thank you your comment is appreciated.

How heavy is the Trailer? Length? We have a 35’ Wildwood 27RKS that’s about 8500# loaded and same issue

@@skidstart66 got you so we are pretty similar I had a Recurve R6 first and could get it to work properly Then I switched to the Blue Ox Track Pro and it works pretty good but I’ve got more tweaking to do. I really wanted the Andersen but people said it was great for sway but doesn’t help with weight distribution and I really needed that as well.

@@stevevetter8045 I currently have the R6 and highly tempted to go w/ the Anderson (only because the hitch is so damn heavy and I hate working w/ the bars). Why did you switch from the R6? (I otherwise think its really a fantastic hitch; but its the only one I've ever had).

@@papasammeh honestly it was a good hitch, I purchased it used and believe it was just worn out. When I was looking around I wanted the Andersen but durning Covid it wasn’t available. Blue ox had recently came out with the Track Pro so I went that direction and am very happy.
