***** Ok, look. Weidman is a great fighter. Just take a look for a moment, the guys he fought and HOW he won. Maia? what? suffered with the guy. Munoz? with a depression. There's no way in hell Weidman would've won that fight if Anderson wasn't so stupid. That may have been the worst Anderson fight, ever. He wasn't clever or intelligent. He kept NOT being aggressive, which was very weird, and he kept asking for Weidman to attack him. Hence, why people believe that fight was only won so that Weidman could rebuild his home. I'm NOT saying that I believe this, Weidman won fair and square, and if Anderson was a jackass, it's his problem. But the second fight become clear. Weidman got ONE punch right. The rest of the first round was Anderson punishing him FROM THE GROUND. He was not on top! He was on defensive, yet, at the final of the first round, Anderson wasn't even sweat, while Weidman had blood all over his face and a broken nose. Weidman wouldn't last another round, fortunately for him, Anderson broke his leg. That fight he was not kidding, and it became very very clear. Hence, again, why Weidman said to Joe after the fight that "no, i still think that people doubt me, this was not a convincing winning." Simple as that.
@specron1210 жыл бұрын
Dimitri Moreira dude are u dumb weidman dominated the first round and almost knocked out the spider again but then silva survived somehow and then broke his leg...im a anderson silva fan believe me but hes just not the same silva that he used to be for example his last two fights were against sonnen first fight against sonnen he barely and amazingly pulled off a last second triangle choke then the rematch he gets takin down again easily in the first round again 2nd round sonnen got scared and stopped throwing punches then the spider knocked him out but my point is those fights were nothing like his past fights with amazing front kick knockouts to making people look stupid af hes just getting old his body isnt as young as it was his time is over in my opinion silva would have lost even if he didnt break his leg 1 because wiedman was not scared of him at all and thats silvas number one defense the mind games ...anyway weidman beat the spider twice no matter how you look at it sure he could have done this or that but he didnt he lost his times over with but he is still a legend and the goat of mma

Thanks for posting this! Great to see a different side of Anderson, he should have loads of fighters going to his gym when he retires. I can't wait for the rematch! Chris and Anderson are both very humble fighters and I honestly don't care who wins. Lots of fun watching two top level guys compete.
@kasperancher11 жыл бұрын
I hope Silva wins, i mean who dosnt wanna see the greatest succeed? :) If Ali was still fighting i would cheer for him as well :) There's just some sort of mystical aura around those guys with their styles and techniques that i dont see on Weidman. I think Weidman is good, but i dont see him defending his belt more than 3 times and thats if he passes Silva again.

Everyone knows Anderson is the most skilled and cerebral combatant. This video is good because it reminds us of that. No one else will say this but I think anderson's age is catching up to him, which is ok because we've seen the best out of him. I say let him leave from being a competitor and teach the young combatants coming up so that they too will become just as skilled and cerebral as he is. This will make MMA a more beautiful sport.

@@Ahbusicarii12 I wouldn't expect that especially Dagestani's are making a name in MMA since the rise of Khabib. Not that I am very big fan of them or something. But They're a force to be reckoned with especially if they came from Abdulmanap. Some of them are such impressive strikers at the same time very elite grapplers. MMA is very stacked compared to the days of Anderson Silva

Anderson admits his style is not proper technique. It's the mma version of Roy Jones Jr. Drop your hands and flow from angles your opponents cannot expect. The speed to dodge punches is essential. Most guys just aren't that quick.

Pound for pound one of the best fighters in the history of MMA. In his prime, he was untouchable. There was some change in his fighting style prior to him breaking his leg. I think messing around with Steven Segal's BS aikido, got him messed up. I think he came back to his senses now. I train in Muay Thai, and would to get a class from him.
@HipHopPush11 жыл бұрын
Anderson is the best, and will achieve legendary status in the UFC. When he had his hands down in the weidman fight so many people were saying he was disrespectful to his opponent. As we all know that was not true! He's been fighting with his hands down from day one! That's just his fuckin style get over it! You all didn't mind him using that style when he was winning, why complain about it now! Fuckin hypocrites!

That last one from the clinch when he brings his arms inside for Koshinage (hip-throw) we do this in Aikido funnily enough i was doing this early 1980's. Lots o good stuff that people such as Anderson and others know, is done in aikido believe it or not except the muay thai clinch behind the head we just have two arm front choke around the throat. Love Anderson to bits.

the guy was such a dominant force for so long... and most of the time he finished his opponents and they would be lying on the mat. his confidence was sky high when he effortlessly finished a bigger and stronger stephan bonnar. he ws cocky in that fight but still won... but you cant go on like that. he tried the same trick with with the much smarter weidman and got punished. After that his ego ws all time low and when he faced weidman the second time.... thats when i saw fear in his eyes for the first time as if he knew there's finally someone who could block his game effectively.
