In the very old days, being able to stand around someone dropping this wisdom was a gem in your life. Now everybody can watch it on KZbin. There were whole schools of kung fu where nobody could do a punch that wasn't telegraphed.
@OhCrxzeh2 жыл бұрын
Well… Kung Fu is not really fighting if you think about it. It‘s an art form and traditional. But in terms of real fighting? It‘s pretty much worthless. Chinese people themselves say it - it‘s just tradition.
@xyaeiounn2 жыл бұрын
@@OhCrxzeh Everything that isn't 'trying to kill someone else' is art form and traditional. Don't shoot for a takedown on someone who's willing to rip out your eyes. MMA competitors wear groin guards because those bouts would end right quick if you tried any of that crap without them. Kung-fu started as killing and turned to stylized crap because Confucian values really despise a fighting as a hobby. A man is supposed to have better things to do than look 'tough' and fight for money. Even so, you can still get all your teeth knocked out by a kung-fu master if you make a habit of assuming ALL kung-fu is garbage. These shitbird masters you see getting caned are the ones that take dumb challenges.

@@xyaeiounn: nope, MMA is straight forward 🤷🏽♂️ no poses, no choreographies, no crouching tiger - pretty straight forward, real life combat.
@xyaeiounn2 жыл бұрын
@@OhCrxzeh Do you know the ruleset at all? I mean AT ALL? Because the list of things you can't strike with, or do, is pretty damn long which means it's a SPORT. Please don't make a fool of yourself saying MMA is "real life combat", you get immediately disqualified and removed from the whole SPORT if you break the rules too often or too egregiously. Oh, and those choreographies with the crouching tiger? They're basically shadow-boxing rehearsal for attacks to the eyes, throat, small joints, groin, you know, all those things not allowed in SPORT martial arts.
@OhCrxzeh2 жыл бұрын
@@xyaeiounn: do YOU realise why these „rules“ are there (Which they are by NOW by the way, in the UFC, where before there were pretty much no rules and no weightclasses when it started)? There‘s no eye-gauging, no attacking the genitals, maybe no 12-6 elbows. But that is pretty much it. The absolut basics of rules were applied, in order to have more entertaining and honorable fights. That still means EVERYTHING else is allowed. My main point is and was: MMA is multiple times more effective in a real fight, than Kung Fu. Do you really want to argue that? Just look up any KungFu master fighting against a trained MMA fighter. There you will find your answer.

Valhalla? Taken far too soon? With respect, like every human being, Kimbo Slice returned to his Lord the Most High precisely when our Lord determined so. The Most Great created all things with predestination(qadr). As far as Valhalla, this is a lie about the after life and isn’t backed by any truthful trace of knowledge or scripture. Allah tells us that there is only Paradise and Hellfire, nothing else. The believers will have Paradise as a final abode while the disbelievers will have the Fire as a final abode. The Quran is the revelation from the Lord of the worlds. My channel has a playlist of the personal favorite Quran recitations in English translation for listeners. Check it out In Sha Allah( God-Willing) you’ll be overcome with awe with the speech of our Master. There’s no deity worthy of worship except Him in truth alone without equals or helpers. This is a perfect technique to take advantage of one of the brains weaknesses. It’s harder to perceive movement that’s coming straight at you so it takes a lil longer for your brain to process. Kinda like how if a tornado looks like it’s staying still, it’s because it’s moving towards you

Lol no... It's the massive size of the tornado that masks the smaller movement. A black hole is the most extreme example. Completely different. His arm is not big enough to mask it's movement. It's the distance travelled and less jerky movement that makes it hard to react. As far as his explanation of a car in front of you, your eyes do infact detect the distance/size change when they brake. So he's wrong. Maybe some people are better than others but if you're used to mimicking the speed of vehicles in front of you, you practiced this ability enough to know. My wife on the other hand, not at all, I tell her not to tailgate.

@@austinstyles6393 show me the book where it says that are you just coming out with this through your own observation?
@austinstyles63934 жыл бұрын
@benard Sellers I’m not going to show you shit. Do some research and you’ll find I’m correct. There are dozens of books about Bruce Lee’s training and his philosophy on fighting. The concept of not telegraphing attack is old and Bruce did indeed teach this. I used the techniques seen in this video for years and people would trip on how I could get through their defense so easily.

Brilliant. This is how Bruce Lee fought. Kimbo was the bodyguard for my friend and his crew for many years. He was such a humble guy. RIP Kev! 🙏🏼

This is EXACTLY how George Foreman knocked out Michael Moorer. It was a straight right without a wind-up. Moorer never saw it coming.
@cldavis339 жыл бұрын
Gmail User He also set it up with easy low power touches all night, got Moorer standing right in front, and BOOM, put his kinetic chain in action with all that Foreman MASS. Over.

+Gmail User and also how Ali put Foreman down. Foreman was coming with them huge looping hooks and jabs, Ali was just straight down the middle with fast, annoying jabs to the face

I Love how Kimbo is a Great student, you can see him really listening and not trying to add or act as if he knows already. No matter where youre at in life you can always learn something.

Almost any other pro fighter would have been "Yeah, yeah, I'm makin money how I am, keep talking." Kimbo was listening, paying attention, and interpreting what MJW was saying. Taking any opportunity to learn and improve is the mark of dedication to the craft.

This is basic striking technique though. MMA fighters know what they're doing

Except MJW is full of shit. He is talking very very basic boxing techniques and pretending like he just invented them. Talking about boxers having "flawed techniques" 🤣. Any half assed amateur would turn out MJW lights.
@MyZ0012 жыл бұрын
@@AD-df5tm But he's not though. Boxers are taught to throw from the shoulder and use the hip. And, when defending they are taught to watch the shoulders to see from which side the punch is coming from. Makes it a lot harder when you take the shoulder out if it. Which is also something taught, but it's not taught as a universal standard. Which is why he said "some boxers" he's trained with So, exactly what about whats being said is full of shit?
@TheJasoncash832 жыл бұрын
@@Bowfella No it isnt. boxers and kickboxers are taught to punch from the shoulder on jabs and from the waist on hooks. this isnt basic stricking technique at all. If you think so, you've obviously never trained any type of striking before.

Michael Jai's awesome. Everyone knows that, but I was surprised about Kimbo. His humility and how he reacted took me by surprise as he have always come off as being different than that. Not many, that's willing to listen, having that much experience with boxing, to someone coming in and basically telling you what you do is wrong and not be angry.
