Michael Jai White is using indiegogo to raise the money, to make the film "The Outlaw Johnny Black" go to theoutlawjohnnyblack.com help him , because if you ever want to see "Blood and Bone 2" and "Black Dynamite 2", this is the only way it will happen. That is with your support.

His net worth is 3.5 million. I don't think he needs the money, it's called investment. If the movie is good we the fans will pay to see it and he will make money. If the movie is trash then he doesn't deserve our money.

@@moorcrypto5137 Martial arts basically means the arts of violence . original martial arts like karate were heavier on the martial rather than the arts unlike modern portrayal of it. Karate was so efficient with bladed weapons it could’ve been used successfully in gladiator fights.

@@brandonmcduffI would guess Kimbo became frustrated only because he likely never had anyone explain things like MJW did, or perhaps he fundamentally relied on strategies and techniques he learned only through the backyard / street brawls he earned money from and came up into the pro fighting world with. This kind of lesson was likely brand new to him. Almost everyone would likely become frustrated if they are now trying to learn something so seemingly simple, in a field they think they are experienced in.

In the very old days, being able to stand around someone dropping this wisdom was a gem in your life. Now everybody can watch it on KZbin. There were whole schools of kung fu where nobody could do a punch that wasn't telegraphed.
@OhCrxzeh
@OhCrxzeh 2 жыл бұрын
Well… Kung Fu is not really fighting if you think about it. It‘s an art form and traditional. But in terms of real fighting? It‘s pretty much worthless. Chinese people themselves say it - it‘s just tradition.
@xyaeiounn
@xyaeiounn 2 жыл бұрын
@@OhCrxzeh Everything that isn't 'trying to kill someone else' is art form and traditional. Don't shoot for a takedown on someone who's willing to rip out your eyes. MMA competitors wear groin guards because those bouts would end right quick if you tried any of that crap without them. Kung-fu started as killing and turned to stylized crap because Confucian values really despise a fighting as a hobby. A man is supposed to have better things to do than look 'tough' and fight for money. Even so, you can still get all your teeth knocked out by a kung-fu master if you make a habit of assuming ALL kung-fu is garbage. These shitbird masters you see getting caned are the ones that take dumb challenges.
@OhCrxzeh
@OhCrxzeh 2 жыл бұрын
@@xyaeiounn: nope, MMA is straight forward 🤷🏽‍♂️ no poses, no choreographies, no crouching tiger - pretty straight forward, real life combat.
@xyaeiounn
@xyaeiounn 2 жыл бұрын
@@OhCrxzeh Do you know the ruleset at all? I mean AT ALL? Because the list of things you can't strike with, or do, is pretty damn long which means it's a SPORT. Please don't make a fool of yourself saying MMA is "real life combat", you get immediately disqualified and removed from the whole SPORT if you break the rules too often or too egregiously. Oh, and those choreographies with the crouching tiger? They're basically shadow-boxing rehearsal for attacks to the eyes, throat, small joints, groin, you know, all those things not allowed in SPORT martial arts.
@OhCrxzeh
@OhCrxzeh 2 жыл бұрын
@@xyaeiounn: do YOU realise why these „rules“ are there (Which they are by NOW by the way, in the UFC, where before there were pretty much no rules and no weightclasses when it started)? There‘s no eye-gauging, no attacking the genitals, maybe no 12-6 elbows. But that is pretty much it. The absolut basics of rules were applied, in order to have more entertaining and honorable fights. That still means EVERYTHING else is allowed. My main point is and was: MMA is multiple times more effective in a real fight, than Kung Fu. Do you really want to argue that? Just look up any KungFu master fighting against a trained MMA fighter. There you will find your answer.

Kimbo seemed like such a cool, humble dude. An absolute warrior, but also a man of honour and respect. You can hear it in his voice, the amount of respect he has as Michael is taking him through the technique. Hes listening and learning. He was taken far too soon. Respect brother. I will see you in Valhalla

That technique that MJW was teaching was absolutely spot-on, too. The moment I saw this clip YEEEARS ago, I immediately knew what Michael was going to teach Kimbo because of my own background. Ultimately, the fastest way between two points is a straight line, and if you don't want anyone to know an attack is coming, you obviously need to be as efficient as is possible. Measure, technique, timing. But "speed" can vary, obviously. :)

Valhalla? Taken far too soon? With respect, like every human being, Kimbo Slice returned to his Lord the Most High precisely when our Lord determined so. The Most Great created all things with predestination(qadr). As far as Valhalla, this is a lie about the after life and isn’t backed by any truthful trace of knowledge or scripture. Allah tells us that there is only Paradise and Hellfire, nothing else. The believers will have Paradise as a final abode while the disbelievers will have the Fire as a final abode. The Quran is the revelation from the Lord of the worlds. My channel has a playlist of the personal favorite Quran recitations in English translation for listeners. Check it out In Sha Allah( God-Willing) you’ll be overcome with awe with the speech of our Master. There’s no deity worthy of worship except Him in truth alone without equals or helpers. We have no sustainer or guardian other than Allah, the Most Merciful, who has made the path to His pleasure and eternal Paradise straight and clear. May Allah guide us all

Lol no... It's the massive size of the tornado that masks the smaller movement. A black hole is the most extreme example. Completely different. His arm is not big enough to mask it's movement. It's the distance travelled and less jerky movement that makes it hard to react. As far as his explanation of a car in front of you, your eyes do infact detect the distance/size change when they brake. So he's wrong. Maybe some people are better than others but if you're used to mimicking the speed of vehicles in front of you, you practiced this ability enough to know. LMAO! Yeah dude was humble here for sure, but he was no "student of combat" LOL! He was a fucking power puncher with a rock hard chin (until it got cracked and he spent more time laying on the canvass than standing on it), a damn good one, who made a name for himself knockin' out street thugs who didn't know shit about fighting, which then carried him a ways in the cage, until he met some actual "students of combat" who could use real technique to weather his one round storm and take him out with actual fighting skills once he fucking gassed himself out throwing that one weapon power left hook... "Student of combat", thanks man, I needed that...

Jack Dempsey one of the greatest fighters of all times, wrote a book about this very thing. How to punch. There is no 'boxing' Jab. There is a Jab. A jab is a straight punch. You straighten your arm and you do not roll your wrist over. White was sharing what Dempsey shared. First the power comes from the straight line from your knuckles, to wrist, to elbow, to shoulder, to hips. You sink your weight. You dont 'lean in' [offbalance] and you dont turn your hip [thats a hook]. Sinking your weight by slightly bending your knees on impact is what gives you power. The vision thing is just basic 'biomechanics' of how vision works. You have to perceive something, first, then react. Fastest reaction times for humans is around 200ms from perception to reaction. U can be punched in 200ms so by first finding stillness then moving, you can overcome the reaction time, if you dont give it away by telegraphing first, and have enough 'fast twitch' muscles to give you fast hands. Search for Jack Dempsey's book in scribd.

Hugh Briggs it's actually a really basic concept that any decent boxing trainer will teach you on your first day of boxing. I think he's lying when he says he's trained with many top level boxers and "they all telegraph their jabs by popping their shoulders" lol no top level boxer does that, they all throw straight jabs.
@dcrasta
@dcrasta 10 жыл бұрын
Powermove Squadron A lot of boxers do. Case in point. Watch early Mike Tyson vs Late Mike Tyson. Early mike lots of bobbing and weaving , throwing hooks off the weave. Jab, bob, weave hook. Later he just dropped his hand before throwing his jab, or dipped his arm before throwing his hook. Also, when fatigued if the fighter is not concentrating or hasn't trained to not telegraph, will often fall into bad habits. As a martial artist we are taught to try to decipher 'tells'; most people have a tell. This is often the difference between the 'championship' level fighters vs the 'top level'. Championship level fighters can decipher their opponents tell. Another example would be why some fighters seem to improve after a 'rematch'. They have had an opportunity to size their opponent up and do more analysis of the movement of their opponent. From stillness one can find speed. Jai White is also a well trained Tai Chi martial artist and probably understands the philosophy of stillness well. IN any case, I am not a multi-belt holder or championship fighter, so YMMV .

This technique he is teaching Kimbo is the same technique GGG applies into his jab. That's why he lands the jab way more than any other active boxer today. His jab is so consistent and very effective in its power he rocks his opponents head back every time it lands as if it was a straight right hand. And it all comes from his body posture of maintaining his arm/left shoulder facing directly into his opponents face and NOT making a face gesture signing that he's about to strike also he never exposes his torso or legs gaining the power and leverage he needs to land the jab with such accuracy. I like to call this technique the "stinging strike" as something so sneaky, swift, straightforward and with very much power.

Actually, Bruce Lee was first i ever saw punch like that. Bruce also said extend left and right fist side by side, one regular fist one corkscrew. The corkscrew is several inches longer, its the way the shoulder is made. If you practice distance with regular fist than incorporate the corkscrew in real fight, you'll have the extra several inches of power and punch through opponent
