Brokerage services, when done right mean drivers have to spend less time locating their own freight. It is a resource that enables carriers and shippers to connect in a broader capacity than if its singular drivers and companies hunting through thousands of options independently. They play a vital role in keeping the supply chains moving. If all brokerages were to close today, it would require all drivers to find their own available freight. While this would initially generate more revenue for drivers, the system simply couldn't withstand the impact of it. Brokerages help close the gap between drivers and shippers for the high volumes of freight we are seeing today.
