That red one sounded like a Tele on the bridge pickup. Or at least a P-90. Nice-looking and nice-sounding guitars. Something I've noticed recently about Lee's solos: They trick you into thinking he played more notes than he actually did. Like he didn't play a note but you heard it anyway. Interesting. Good job, Lee. Good job, Pete, too. The jams were cool.

i bought one of these a year ago. i absolutely love this guitar. it plays great, is comfortable, and it sounds really good. i want to hate on the bridge pick up because it's ridiculously hot, but the truth is, the volume and tone tame it down to any point you could reasonably ask for. it can play some really chimey clean stuff, or it can play snarling highly distorted screaming sounds that would do corrosion of conformity proud. of the 5 guitars i have, this is the only one where i use the middle position, ever. the difference between mine and these is, mine came from the factory with locking tuners. at this price point, it's the upper limit of bang for your buck. after this, diminishing return kicks in, and the extra money buys you less and less upgrade for the amount of extra money.

Just tryed a d'angelico 335 style. Not the cheapest one, around 1500€. Really Disapointed. The sound was not bad at all but not impressiv, the flat neck was uncomfortable to say the list. Action too high. Knobs were ugly, too big, and not well attached. The switch had big issu, i lost sound almost every time i changed mic... the overhaul look and finish was a bit cheap... wtf?? It was a fresh new model i've tryed in a shop. I just can't understand. A b-stock maybe... but a very bad first experience with this brand.

They are indeed a wonderful guitar, and this is an outstanding offer. I've had my own D'Angelico Permier DC since 2014. It is a superbly built instrument. If you are even thinking about playing a semi-hollow body guitar, I strongly suggest you snag one of these, while they are available. BTW I really enjoy the channel(s).

Amazing guitar, I have bought it today. Everything is fine, there is nothing wrong on it. For the price it's amazing.Standing you need a wide garment leather Guitar Strap and it's fine. I love the slim tapper neck. The tone is amazing with these humbuckers. I was thinking about getting a Gibson es 339 but this one is perfect for me and not expensive. Mine is black with a light sparkle , beautiful , it's called "Black Flake" .

LOVE THESE VIDEOS ! One thing though. Please, ALWAYS CHECK IF THE GUITARS ARE "NECK HEAVY" OR "WEIGHT BALANCED", that's important. Also, get yourself a "CONTOUR GAUGE" and simply display a picture of the neck contour, just put the "contour gauge" in a scanner and display the scanned image ... easy ! Quite frankly, we don't care about any personal opinion about neck shapes, what's comfortable for someone can be someone else's nightmare. Most people buy online, think of avoiding returns just because a guitarists finds out the neck shape on the purchased new guitar isn't what he likes. So, a little scanned image of a neck profile, using a "contour gauge" can also save money (for you, and sometimes also for the customer).

1million percent Lads- if you’re feeling cheap go to one of those tiger shops and grab one of the pin impression toys - you could squish it onto the guitar neck and show the profile . Genuinely the biggest issue with buying online is no profiles or reference points from a specific slim c. So the feel and the weight balance is a TOTAL gamble - and arguably some of the most important factors. I can walk into a shop, cup my hand around the neck and INSTANTLY tell if i like it or not.

@@Tiptronics Agreed ! That's what I would do when i was living in Paris. One of my favorite easiest playing guitar is an Ibanez Artcore AF75D-TOR, and I played about 2 dozens of them in the shops of rue de Douai and rue Victor Massé when these models came out, and found the PERFECT ONE. But this is over now, there isn't even 1 single good guitar shop around where I live, and with that in mind, you can only rely on DATA.

Wow, sounds nicer than the Gibson CS 335 models. One problem, is the "slim" C neck radius. If anyone has played on is this equal to a "thin" pattern (i.e. everything Schecter) neck?

Let's not get crazy. They're nice for sure. I replaced my 339 with one (in my lap right now). It's a USA Sweetwater exclusive that adds Seymour Duncans (hot rodded set) and locking tuners for the same original price (think it was $799 a few years ago) and it's my second D'Angelico. Love 'em. At $499? Anyone would be foolish to pass up that deal. But any proper 335 should smoke it. They are a hallmark tone for the ages.

Yes it does have a pretty good bit of dive. I have one of the US Sweetwater exclusive models and did some mods to help it. I solved 95% of the neck dive by putting a lighter set of Gotoh Delta 512 tuners to replace the locking units that came on it. I added a few adhesive lead wheel weights inside the f hole outta view also. It sounds phenomenal but it’s a sitting down player for me only.

@@tollan23 Actually it's not, when the pandemic hit and everyone decided to learn guitar manufacturers couldn't keep up with demand from normal people, so most stopped making lefties altogether, which is doubly annoying as now they have loads of stock to shift cheap there are no lefties going for a song, not even from the glut of used stuff hitting the market. PRS doesn't offer a single USA lefty outside of £11k private stock. and hasn't for many years.
