What does the Kingwood fretboard do to the tone? Knowing Paul's views he must have chosen it for a tonal reason right? Not just to be different and fancy?

I have a PRS, only a lowly SE Custom 2408 but I love it. As good as my American Fender and Gibson SG standard.

What's funny is that Rob is getting Billy Duffy's Cult sound from the love era by using a similar set up, hollow body and jazz chorus

Casual jokes about selling your kidneys to buy something are highly offensive to families like mine who have genetic kidney disease and are kept alive by dialysis. It's cheap and nasty and not funny

Love these Gretsch tones, and been wanting one since watching the Hermanos Gutiérrez & Julian Lage videos. Plus there's the Soundgarden / Chris Cornell connection to them. They are one guitar than can get away with being a bit bling. I don't know if I'm such a fan of white guitars, usually. But ... then I liked Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster so much I kind of got into the white + shiny gold combo. White + gold is a nice combo for a heavy Les Paul too. And the white Baum Wingman & Celestor with the gold pickguard look awesome too. There's two electric guitar shaped holes in my collection, on is Gretsch shaped and white+gold coloured, the other is Firebird shaped. An affordable 12-string, like a Danelectro, if one shoes up second-hand would be nice too.

Definitely not the greatest setting or the best representation of the pedal.

Looks like a painting of a peach 🍑. Give it to a local “antique “ shop and it will gather dust behind the wwii boots and your nans plates.

Gorgeous instruments. Love that Blue Whale Glow (or whatever) one. Part of me thinks its a shame they'll probably sit in a vault or something rarely played or used. Just as artwork investments.

Capt needs a deBethune skybridge or Journe resonance, Pete needs a Groenfeld remontoir. I think each would match their personality. I think I'd take that Cabestan over either of these, but will recognize these are quite striking and hope they get played wherever they end up.

I used to sell high end audio back in the early 90's. People would come in and say, You can buy a car for what that preamp costs. I'd tell them, You can't buy the guys car who buys one of these.

Love that fretboard on the darker one. What a lifer guitar! Over 30 years I have owned 15 cores including two artists and two modern eagle Quatros. I still have a couple. Get an Ebony artist fretboard! They feel and sound better than the rosewood. Perfect for the 25" scale length. Sorry for the rant just getting energized on this current Wood Library PRS!

Never liked the 85/15,I swapped out for 57/08’s in my Custom 24 10 Top. My father always said guitars are made to be played. I have my fathers 1960 Gibson ES355TDSV, he played it and it still gets played.

I love the choice of Fu Manchu. Loved them since the early 00s. Amazing tone on every album. I went in search of a Fu Manchu pedal myself and settle on two. The Behringer SF300, and the Way Huge Purple Platypus. Great combination of what makes the Fu Manchu sound great.
