The Wizard is definitely on my wish list. I love the concept to bring new technology into real valve amp. Keep the signal analog but have all bells and whistles we generally only get in digital stuff.

as a dutch person i knew about the hook amps for years , i have had the little lenny some years ago , but marble , meyer and kool/elfring are great amps too , and then offcourse there are the koch amps , these are the great 5 handmade tube amp brands from the netherlands .

No, because obviously an old tv screen is a ‘tube’ in the UK too (crt tube emitting electrons onto a phosphorescent screen). An old tv would have valves inside performing a similar job to valves in an amp, and also a cathode-ray tube that produces pictures... So it’s helpful to call a tube a tube and a valve a valve - they are two different things... Also, the name ‘valve’ references the way the component controls/diverts electron flow. Current, flow, valve... all are consistently using the language of liquids to describe electricity. So again, ‘valve’ is more informative than ‘tube’. :-)

You guys... that is SUCH an awesome lil' jam intro... I'm all in. Tele sounds like a good tele, Heritage sounds like a good 335. Ripping wah sounds from Pete. Really impressed. Guessing those amps are pretty good if they interpret the intrinsic tones of those guitars so well. Stay healthy guys; will be visiting the shop again soon, a few pedals and a few treats...

Yamaha DG-series amps of 20 years ago had automated controls. Even by today's standards, these digital modelling amps sound pretty awesome. Their DG-STOMP pedal, based on the same models, did not have automated controls.

i've noticed depending on what i listen to this channel on; it always sounds different. (like rehearsal)** like, it must be hard mixing live guitars with constant changing amps and effects... but yeah the mixers are hit or miss. this one was good, hum sing seems to not fark up the transients and make one shite sound. LOL

This reminds me a bit of the Stone Deaf Effects SD amps where it was a valve circuit, but digital controls to store as many presets as you wanted. So, the shared EQ wasn't really a problem in these scenarios because the presets each had their own EQ settings regardless of where the knobs were on the amp. Those didn't sell too well it seems because they don't make them anymore, and you don't see them on the used market very often.

Re: Reverb tanks, the Marshall JCM 2000 series had theirs screwed to the front panel, too. I've got one of the buggers, so that's how I know. :)

I don’t think anything will replace valve amps, they might become novelties(tbh they kinda already are) like classic cars but nothing will ever replace them. ES-335 straight into a Vox AC30 will never be outdone.
