Luke is arguably the best rep for keys. If not, one of the best.

It's funny that he used to work for Roland. Maybe Korg paid him more? At the moment Korg seems like a much more interesting company to work for, though. At Roland he was mostly stuck peddling ubiquitous ROMpler lite workstations...

@@summerlaverdure The first-gen Kross definitely was, but this new (well, now almost 5 year old) one allows you to load custom waveforms, turning it into a proper sampler workstation. (And I don't just mean playing with the built-in sampler with no ability to pitch-shift, you can actually combine up to 16 samples into a multisample with which you can create an ordinary playable program and play it with all 61/88 keys.)

A huge point here is: If it's a joy to perform (or even "mess around") on, it's likely well worth having. The joy of music is exactly why my career has been so immensely satisfying. What you two fellows provide for us (the viewers) is this quintessential element. I smile! At the same time, you're producing a helluva nice demo for KORG. Well done!

@@Dany-cj3kn I love it. Can't think of anything else at this price point that could match the value of this thing. Tons of good usable sounds, step sequencer, sampler, software editor... The cons: super cheap keybed. Very light and makes strange scraping noises, but it's not the wors I've used. I'm not a pianist though, your mileage may vary. You can see Luke in the video, playing it without any problems.

I've just ordered one of these beauties today and I'm really looking forward to getting into having some fun after not owning any Korg gear for a very long time! I've been a long time fan of Korg having owned at least a dozen of their instruments but I love that the Kross 2 has the best of all the classic Korg sounds from the M1 onwards. I started off my music production career in 1991 using just a Korg T3EX and it's limited 8 track sequencer and 16 notes of polyphony to create entire music productions! Just this budget Kross 2 will leave the 33 year old T3 in the dust!

I live in the states, but always enjoyed watching your reviews and things on keyboards. I have the Kross 2 88. Jack and Luke work awesome together. I was laughing through the whole video and honestly, I always enjoy watching Luke Dimo synthesizers and keyboards. I really love the weighted action feel on my instrument. I came from and old N1 and this feels worlds better. The only thing, and I know this is just a minor thing, but I wish Korg would give me the Trinity or triton classic Rhodes programs. Maybe I am just weird, but for some reason, I just really love those sound. There’s just something about them. I guess it just gives me an excuse to keep my Trinity rack around for those purposes.
