After the Beatles 3 day Tour of Scotland in 1963 they wrote a nice little balled song titled 'Cry Baby Cry' a creative song about the Town of Kirkcaldy sung by John Lennon.

Albert Bonici brought The Beatles to Scotland, Andi Lothian was merely a sideman but now claims credit for Albert's entrepreneurial skills. Little problem here. He says "January 1963. They played 'She Loves You'." They didn't write She Loves You until July 1963. Oops.

The Beatles recording Love Me Do was released in June 1962 and promoted around discos in London. There are various mistakes in the Lothian testimonies. According to Ken McNab [Beatles in Scotland], Mr. Bonici had already discussed hiring the Beatles in September and signed a contract in November through Cana Variety/London for their appearances in the north of Scotland January 1963. He managed his own affairs though employed other promoters including Gordon Hardie and Andy Lothian Jr to manage shows. There is no evidence that Mr. Lothian lost money when The Beatles played in Albert's Two Red Shoes Ballroom in Elgin [3 January 1963]. Lothian wasn't paying the bills or booking the Beatles other than the Dundee Beatles Show which he co-presented. I know that memories fail people but embellishing facts to revise history is a travesty. Also, in the BBC interview, promoter Albert Bonici was not mentioned and Mr. Lothian takes full credit for bringing the Beatles to Scotland.
