I'm no expert on sewing by any means but I feel like the seams on Helpy's snout is a result of the different shape than the standard Freddy. It's a little narrower and more round, rather than oval, so it needs some additional shaping -- hence extra seams (from the darts in the fabric, I think they're called? like I said, not a sewing expert). That's my theory anyway. If they'd done a recolour of the original Freddy plush, I think it wouldn't have looked anything like Helpy. I think the extra seams were well worth it for the sake of a better likeness, Helpy is one of my favourite designs in this line!
